I'm wondering if this film will be good or not. But time will tell I guess. Honestly looking at the trailer, this seems student film quality. Pure cringe.

Just read some pretty scathing reviews.
One of which labelled the portrayal of Liam and Noel as thin cartoons. Apparently Liam utters the line βdya know what I mean Alan? As you wereβ. π€¦ββοΈ

That's what I expected when I first heard about this film. They would make Liam and Noel really cringe and OTT.

Yeah, I agree with you about this film and I've had my doubts about it all along since it was first announced.

I doubt very much that I will bother with this film as watching the trailer it doesn't really that good. Besides I don't go to the cinema anymore, obviously they're shut at the moment but even in normal circumstances it's certainly not a film which I would rush out and see.

I'm excited to see the moment when the guy announces Oasis and "Liam" starts singing

The Oasis bits look terrible but rest of it looks like it could be a good watch.

To be honest I haven't even watched the trailer yet but I'm only really interested in the Oasis part(s). Mind you, that said I do like other Creation bands such as Primal Scream.

I'll watch it when it's a freebie, could be entertaining. Leave them all behind in trailer is such a fucking tune.

Looks shite.
When are we getting biopics of real Glaswegian heroes like Bill Shankly or Matt Busby?

If they will ever do an official film about the Oasis story (apart from Supersonic) then at least do it from 1994 up until the split in 2009 and get the real Noel and Liam in it and not some crap look alikes.

Its on Amazon Prime. Unless of course you've already seen it. And if thats the case I'm sure you'll agree that its a great watch.

Anyway, even if they did do a film about the whole of Oasis's history in the future they could easily use early Noel and Liam footage from when they were in their 20s.

I don't know why you wouldn't just make a documentary.

I don't know why you wouldn't just make a documentary. There's already a doc about Creation Records: "Upside Down: The Creation Records Story," directed by Danny O'Connor in 2010 and winner of a few awards. (You can do lots of stuff in a narrative film that you can't do in a doc, including creating your own playful, or best case scenario ... insightful, take on the real events/atmosphere, but that doesn't mean it's guaranteed to work. Vast majority of films never happen -- see Liam's long-in-limbo production of The Longest Cocktail Party -- and of those that do get made, only a rare handful come together as something great. It's a high risk enterprise but hope springs eternal for every film.)
