I can appreciate the simplistic beauty of Songbird, but Slide Away is something truly special.

Slide Away is pretty much the Oasis version of There Is A Light That Never Goes Out. Outstanding piece of songwriting.

Slide away isn't that good, don't get the fuss about it. Got to be honest, I'm with you. I like the song, the oooh-oooh bit and the choruses are lovely, but it wouldn't crack my Top 15 Oasis tunes on the whole. It sounds a little dry to my ears. |
