It's a huge, huge amount of money! It’s too much Mimmi. It is almost as much as the Noel demo tape, Coming On Strong tape and Gem demo lot put together... £3000 is not realistic. £1000 max I would say and even that’s probably too high for two songs even though it has historic meaning.

£3000 is a joke.
Also how likely is it that these recordings are identical, or near identical to a version that we already have?
I'd gladly chip in a tenner to find out but I doubt we could find another 300 people who would!

Isn't this the demo tape that Bonehead gave to the producers of the Blackpool Roadshow (their actual first TV performance) that was never broadcast? See www.oasis-recordinginfo.co.uk/?page_id=455. I believe it is this, which has come up for sale before.

I'd gladly chip in a tenner to find out but I doubt we could find another 300 people who would! Mr Monobrow a few years ago spoke to a previous owner of the tape and he confirmed that it is the same as the second version (YouTube video below) and the only difference is, is there is a siren played at the start of the songs and one has a the bass boosted. I guess it is the historic / novelty factor of owning it but the fact it has no new music then it won’t appeal to the masses compared to previous demos we have contributed too in the past.

That's what I suspected. Cheers Jim! With that in mind the seller is in cloud cuckoo land with that valuation.

He can keep it to himself...

You can bid or make an offer, which indicates the guy's not really expecting people to fork out £3.000 for it. He set a high price to see what happens & will probably settle for much less if he realises he won't get any better offers.
