Not wild about no songs from the first two HFB albums. But it could just easily have included Half the World Away, Talk Tonight, and The Masterplan in place of some of the WBTM tracks, so overall I’m still pleased he’s pushing his new stuff. If I were to suggest a change and keep the same song count, it would be In The Heat of the Moment instead of Wonderwall, and What a Life instead of All You Need Is Love. Yeh, maybe KOR could be dropped. It's a great version they do but feel WAL would probably go down better! Would love to hear a housed up modern version of WAL given their experience practising TITP. X

Don't you ever get tired of posting same stuff over and over in multiple boards on this forum day in day out? I guess you don't, but us. How about this? NGHFB = Oasis tribute band Liam and his band = Oasis tribute band

Gem is slowly morphing into old man Weller. We should all be so lucky, tbh.

I'm curious, does anyone really think that at this moment in time Noel should be *opening* for the Smashing Pumpkins? I assumed when this was announced that it would be co-headlining and that they would go so far as to alternate who played first and last in order for it to seem like it was really co-headlining. How long has it been since the SP did anything that was even the least bit interesting? Really surprised that someone with Noel's ego would be willing to do this. Maybe he just sees it as a good excuse to not have to play a long set every night.

Touring costs a lot of money. Touring America especially. It’s so vast. Let’s be honest, in America Pumpkins are bigger. A lot bigger despite being hit or miss the last twenty years. That venue was packed with pumpkins fans. I was even surprised how many young 20 year old fans they had.

Isn't the point of opening, you know, to introduce your newest music to new fans? Playing mostly Oasis stuff would be incredibly short sighted.

This is why I wish he'd drop Wonderwall and AYNIL and bring What a Life and In the Heat of the Moment in. This tour is a rare chance for Noel to tour as a new artist showing off to someone else's audience. He should play that for all it's worth.

But isn't that what people wanted Oasis to do? To not be a novelty act and succeed or fail on their newest material? I don't see how some can find fault with Noel doing what an artist SHOULD do.

Lennon2217 what did you think of the Pumpkins’ performance? Looking up setlist FM I see they played Blue Skies Bring Tears (huge surprise) and The Aeroplane Flies High. Lucky you!

I am hoping Noel comes out on stage with the Pumpkins during this tour, and it'll happen at what's basically the hometown gig in Tinley Park, just a few miles outside of Chicago.

Put Dead in the Water back in the set and maybe I’ll show up, Noel.

I thought they were fantastic. Second time seeing them in the last 12 months. The other time was at a sold out MSG. They play very loud. Max guitars all the time. Unlike Noel, who lets Gem so the heavy solo work, Billy does all the guitar hero stuff himself. Fingers flying all over that fret. I really enjoyed the setlist too. Eye and Ava Adore are songs I’ve loved since I was 17. Jimmy Chamberlain is also a hammer of the Gods. Always great to see James.
