On my 19th birthday I drank so many flaming sambucas that the next day I was indescribably ill. You live, you learn. X

Come on, "19th anniverseries" aren't a thing. Wake me up for the 20th, 25th, 50th or the 100th instead!

Come on, "19th anniverseries" aren't a thing. Wake me up for the 20th, 25th, 50th or the 100th instead! Oasis themselves don’t celebrate their releases on sensible anniversaries so why should I? (MG and BHN both reissued on their 19th anniversaries...) X

Dream of a deluxe Standing on the shoulder of giants I still think my theory has legs that the reason Noel started playing Go Let It out again recently is cos he’d been working on the Standing reissue behind the scenes and he was reminded of it... Anyway, Noel’s said the reissue will happen. It’s just a case of when. X

I guess it’s also the 19th birthday of this too. The last truly great b-side?

19 years old? 19 years old already?
Fuck off, just fuck off.
Great bassline, like much of that album.

19 years old? 19 years old already? Fuck off, just fuck off. Great bassline, like much of that album. I spent pretty much every day of 1999 pining away for a new Oasis single. Can’t believe it’s now 19-20 years since then.

The song is older than I was when it came out (16). I listened to it on the radio player from my walkman the first time, they announced they were gonna play it on some show. I don't think I liked it instantly, it sounded a bit different. But I loved it after a few times, still do. Studio version is brilliant.
Bought the single and was pleasantly surprised with Let's All Make Believe! This was the last pré internet era for me. Everything I bought in the record store was new stuff to my ears.

I remember downloading the whole video (50MB) or something like it and it took all night. The next morning I got up and turned it on. It's was great even with all the terrible hair.
The field around the scaffolding wannabe spaceship should be filled with fans jumping around, instead of empty and pitiful. I never understood that nonsense. Right when the music slams into the final chorus the field should be packed with fans.

Can’t believe Noel let that happen. X

On a side note, when the Giants reissue comes out, I really hope there’s a full length / extended version of Go Let It Out. I’m always a bit disappointed when it fades out as that guitar solo starts at the end. Sounds like it’s threatening a key change then another 3 minutes of choruses a la All Around The World. X
