Let's vote!
I Really don't get the hype for Kasabian, the only song I sort of like from them is Club Foot.
The first album of Arctic Monkeys is really good. There are some songs of their latter albums that I like, probably 1 or 2 of each album.
Nothing comes close to Definitely Maybe or Morning Glory from both bands though, or am I missing something?

Arctic Monkeys have had 3 really good albums
Kasabian went really shit after their really promising debut

Love them all, I prefer Kasabian to AM in terms of I feel closer to them as a band (don't know what it is) - but I think AM have superior songs

Well obviously we know who will finish first. But even objectively, it's an insult to mention Kasabian in the same breath as the infinitely superior Arctic Monkeys. Funnily enough, Tom Meighan and Serge Pizzornio are closer to monkey form than Arctic Monkeys.

I was tempted to put Arctic Monkeys behind Kasabian due to their most recent outputs, but then I quickly remembered that Kasabian's have been even worse...
The Libertines sweep them both away, but it was a much shorter career which makes the comparison between the other two a bit "unfair", since they quit before things had a chance to get shitty (well, musically).

All three are mediocre, except for Oasis, who were fucking amazing.

Arctic Monkeys have been most consistent with their albums, all been pretty solid but Oasis have a couple of albums that are better than any AM monkeys albums.
Kasabian are turd apart from about 3 songs that are just ok.

Ooh, tough one.
Of Course, Oasis first.
Velociraptor! Is my favorite Kasbian album, and it's indeed quality. But overall they never really lived up to their potential.
Arctic Monkey's first three albums are quality, and then they became incredibly hit and miss. And I still think Base Hotel & Casino must be a pisstake, it's that bad. and their previous album 'AM' isn't much better.
Both bands are good live, I've seen them both in Washington DC in 2009 and 2012. Really enjoyed my night out seeing the AM's but the fit girl I was with is a big part of that (!).
Arctic Monkey's just edge it over Kasabian I reckon. When both are on form, they are great. But I don't think either have lived up to their true potential and/or hype.
Oasis, AM, Kasabian. Done.

OASIS >>>>> AM >> Kasabian
Arctic Monkeys still have a good output with new material, even the current LP had nice bits beside being more a Alex Turner goes lounge record. But the AM album was really good. Also liked their change for the 3rd LP when they became more rock than indie. One of the very few bands of the '00 who still put out noteworthy records.
Kasabian on the other hand still a great live band but their stuff after West Ryder LP became really irrelevant and apart from a few songs it's just dull.

Arctic Monkeys continue to be commercially successful and critically lauded. Kasabian continue to sound like Chaz N' Dave on ecstasy - where's the comparison?
