I only got partially into Nirvana. Haven’t listened to any Nirvana in a decade though. Not really into grunge.

Nirvana had more influence, but I much prefer Oasis.

I prefer Nirvana...
But then they also had the advantage of their singer/songwriter dying before he could release a load of dross/average stuff like Oasis with their last handful of albums.
Had Noel's only official body of work been the first 2 or 3 albums and then ended up brown bread, i think Oasis would be viewed much differently too.

Yep, reminds of the Eminem vs Biggie vs Tupac thing. If Eminem had been shot in this prime like the latter two, no way he wouldn't have been considered the greatest rapper ever. Unfortunately we got to see him become middle-aged and release Revival, the equivalent of Heathen Chemistry but without even the big singles.
