Just wondering if anyone has any quotes / knows whether Noel has spoken openly about this piece of brilliance from little brother, would love to hear his thoughts on it.

I’m sure there weren’t plenty between 2005 and 2008. The only one that springs to mind is over the sample of Lennon. Noel said they didn’t need it and if you were going to buy the sample rights and permission, at least make it louder and audible!

I recall Noel saying they tried to steer Liam away from cliches but weren’t able to. X

I like the song well enough, but that is a VERY hyperbolic statement right there. If John Lennon had written this song and included it on 'Imagine', it would be regarded as a classic and one of his best. And remember, 'Oh Yoko!' is on Imagine, and IMO 'I'm Outta Time' is vastly superior. But, because its a Liam song it will just be remembered as a 'pretty good' tune. Shame, cos I think Liam is underappreciated as a song writer.
