Hi everyone, I'm a new user of this forum.
I have the opportunity to buy a vinyl copy of the first UK press of Be Here Now (Creation Records).
But there is a problem... looking at the matrix/runout, I found that they are slightly different from
what is reported on Discogs (and from the original copy of a friend):
the official version has these runouts:
Matrix / Runout (A-side): CRELP 219 A-4-1-1 MIKE'S-THE EXCHANGE
Matrix / Runout (side B): CRELP 219 B-3-1-1 MIKE'S-THE EXCHANGE
Matrix / Runout (C side): D CRELP 219 C-3-1-1 MIKE'S-THE EXCHANGE
Matrix / Runout (D side): D CRELP 219 D-3-1-1 MIKE'S-THE EXCHANGE
while the copy I would like to buy has these:
CRE 219 A
CRE 219 B
CRE 219 C
CRE 219 D
the barcodes are the same FOR BOTH VERSIONS: 5 017556 302194
Last thing: cover, inner, paper disk center and all the rest are identical (colors of the cover, logo, cover cardboard,
"weight" of the vinyl etc ... are identical).
But that runout doesn't convince me and as you know,Oasis first UK press are really expensive so
I don't want to buy a fake/bootleg
can anyone tell me something ??
Thank you
Riccardo
