No offence to you at all for starting this thread, madferitusa2025 (and I don't blame you really), but this is getting like a cheap kitchen sink drama. People still buying and reading a sh*t "paper" like The Sun and believing what they write? Jesus Christ Superstar. Just watch the vid ffs. I love Liam but he's obviously a prick isn't he. It's sad cos he's my music icon but his attitude to women stinks.

It’d probably be best now for Liam to just admit he reacted poorly and will be going to anger management courses. Everyone close to Debbie, her sisters, her mother etc. Alll still follow Liam on Social Media, and they’re all staying quiet. I know if that was my sister I’d be blowing the fucker up. I just don’t think everything has come out yet. I just don’t know what’s going to happen next, they can’t make any valid excuse really. At this point I’m still very disappointed. Also shocked this isn’t trending on Twitter. they don't say anything because it's just not true. Debbie herself has said so. Do you believe the Sun and a shitty video or Liam and Debbie? anger management courses ... jesus christ ...

I’m saying to the public eye that’s be the best thing Liam could come out with, no matter what Debbie says next people are already convinced that she’s just protecting him and is scared of his behaviour all you have to do is read the posts on her Instagram. Unless they also have footage that it has been blown out of proportion, no one will believe them.

Really hope Noel picks up the phone to speak to him... Liam will need as many friends as possible now Let's not forget who the victim is here... You're absolutely right... but he's obviously done it for a reason (not saying she deserved it, but saying that Liam has never done anything like this before, he's clearly got something going on)

Dunno, he looks like he's smiling in the video to me, not angry. Difficult to know without any sound.

Let's not forget who the victim is here... You're absolutely right... but he's obviously done it for a reason (not saying she deserved it, but saying that Liam has never done anything like this before, he's clearly got something going on) Liam's never been caught on CCTV doing anything like this before. He might have done it before, he might not have. If he was routinely violent or abusive then I'm sure it would've come up in his divorces, so hopefully this really is an isolated thing. If you look at the social media posts, they're both careful with their words. Liam denies ever putting hands on a woman in a "vicious manner" but doesn't deny that he's put hands on a woman. Debbie doesn't actually defend Liam. She focuses on the false concern of the media, who are so desperate to condemn Liam that they pay no attention to the alleged victim at all, to the extent that they can't get basic facts about her life correct. I think there probably is something in this but it's clearly not what the media want to make it. If you grab someone by the neck in a genuine attempt to hurt or intimidate them, you put them against a wall and you put weight into it. You don't flail out with your weaker hand in the middle of a corridor. But Debbie's refusal to directly defend Liam implies that it wasn't just messing around, although she seems willing to move on. Anyway, hopefully this really is a one-off and serves as a wake up call to Liam. Much as I love a bit of LIIIIIIIIIIAM shitposting and will back him against the brother I believe has been shown time and time again to be dishonest, the stuff he writes about Noel's wife when he's drunk is unpleasant and it was even more so when it senselessly formed part of his weak defence yesterday. Whether he intends it or not, he should know by now that he's capable of nasty behaviour when he's been drinking (and whatever else) and he's very lucky this has happened now with a triumphant comeback behind him. Had this been before Glastonbury last year, and had Debbie taken a different view of it, he'd have been right back where he was after Beady Eye split up with very little prospect of improving his fortunes. Lucky boy.

If that was a video of 2 random people who you'd never seen before, and you were asked what you thought was happening in it, you'd say that it's a man behaving in a physically aggressive way to a woman in a corridor. Not sure why that changes for some people when it's a singer they like.

Not sure why that changes for some people when it's a singer they like. It makes no difference to me who was in the video, it's hugely unreliable to just take a few seconds of CCTV and make a decision based on that. I don't really see anything that would go against what Liam and Debbie say. If they said they'd had a blazing row and Liam attacked her, I wouldn't go against that either. Anyway it'll be interesting to see what happens next and whether they do sue. That'd probably sort it out one way or the other.

Just watch the video like the rest of us. We can see for ourselves. Only persons story I care for is Debbie’s. (I know she’s defended him but I mean if she says any more on it)

I can't remember if I've ever posted on this forum before, so Hi everyone ^^ but I just can't believe what I read in some posts. I answer to your post but it's not specific to yours, nothing personnal "Video footage doesn't lie" I'm sorry but nobody here can say what its going on exactly in that video, but it clearly isn't what the sun was reporting in the first place (Liam grabbing Debbie trhough the corridor...). As someone pointed out, Liam seems to smile on some footage, so it's very difficult to say what they are doing, it's just as simple as that. Can anyone here can say for sure that he even touch her ? 'cause it looks very hard to say honestly. Is he serious or not ? Is this forum suddenly full of experts in video analysis ? We just don't know enough, to claim anything at that point. People are willing to burn people in public place so easily these days... If he has done anything wrong to her, I'll have no pity for him, but people shouldn't be judged based on "impressions" or because it "looks true". I don't know what to think of it at the moment, I'll wait, speculating when you just know nothing about it is nothing but useless. If it's all fake, how many will assume what they've said here ?? And if it's true (I can't believe it, but I know I ain't know shit), there will be no glory to have been the first to claim it, really. (Sorry for my english by the way, I'm from the Scissor Girl country ^^)

"Of course is the The Scum and it lies and lies, Liam would never raise his hand to a woman" "Ok yeah he does raise his hand and tries to grab her but he's just being funny" next thing will be "yeah he slapped her but very tenderly, she's not bleeding, blown out of proportion" LOL @ the people trying to justify it just because it is Liam. (and I'm referring more to people on twitter et. al, not mainly here) Listen if Debbie had that much of a problem with it she wouldn't be defending him.

Lucky boy. Debbie has called it a lie and fake news. What more can she say to defend Liam? She said it was not true. End of story. Do you want her to post a 10 minute video in which she explains every little detail about their relationship? The fact that mutual friends/family like Gene, Lennon, Molly or Liams band mates have liked her post, should say enough. How so many can interpret something into it is beyond me. It's not her problem, that you don't believe her.

People have an opinion about it precisely because it is Liam and as fans we have some idea of the man's character.
The footage could be anything really. It's not as if he is swinging punches or Debbie is cowering in fear.
I mean an alternate version to him trying to throttle her could be she was mad at him and having a pop so he went to pinch her nose to make her laugh cos he wasn't taking it seriously and she jerked her head back out the way because she was pissed of and not in the mood.
Only people that know really are those two and if Debbie says it was innocent then that's fine with me, it's her life.
If she is being abused and is daft enough to protect him then more fool her. She doesn't strike me as that type but then I don't really know very much about her character.
I hope the truth comes out either way. The worst thing they could do now is try and just ignore it.

I’m not going to comment on the accusation.
We should bear in mind Debbie’s job is PR. She knows how to make a damage limitation statement.

I don't think he tried to push her at the start of the vid, it looks like she stumbles, but then it looks like he does go for the throat I don't know if they were messing around, some kind of kink or that he lost it, but regardless of the context, this doesn't look good for Liam

Difficult to say exactly what went on. That said, rule number one in the man code book is to never raise your hands towards a woman in an aggressive manner. Unless they have some kind of weird chemistry going on then he has absolutely failed at that, no excuses.

the best thing about the video is how they placed the black bars over her eyes, the moment liam grabs her. what do they want to hide? popping eye balls? ffs. Yea what is that about?

We should bear in mind Debbie’s job is PR. She knows how to make a damage limitation statement. After she posted the statement on instagram, she liked a dozen comments by other users who said they don’t believe the fake news. She looks genuinely pissed by the ridiculousness of the story. If she’s only saying so for the sake of damage limitation and know it’s partly true, I doubt she would put this much effort.

Warner press office will deal with this now, it’s too big for her. She’ll be silent. Truth will out, whatever that is.
