We can't know 100% for sure what is going on - only what it appears like.
The Scum could well be making this into something it's not.

Liam Gallagher's girlfriend slams attack claims and insists they were 'messing'
Liam Gallagher’s girlfriend Debbie Gwyther has rubbished claims the singer attacked her.
She leapt to the former Oasis rocker’s defence yesterday and insisted: “We were drunkenly messing around and it’s been made into something it wasn’t.
"It feels like they’re on a witch hunt to dirty Liams name.”
The star also denied a bust-up with Debbie, 36.
Last night footage said to be taken at Chiltern Firehouse restaurant reportedly showed Liam “pushing” girlfriend Debbie, who apparently stumbles into a corridor and then reportedly attempts to block his path.
He strides past Debbie and turns to confront her, appearing to grab her throat, causing her head to rock backwards.
But she insisted there is no problem with their four-year romance. Debbie said: “Our relationship is stronger than ever. Liam’s never laid a hand on me. It is completely ridiculous.”

Okay can someone clear some things up for me from the video because im struggling.
Why is a supposed cctv camera moving all over the place?
Why does this look nothing like a nightclub?
Why is it absolutely empty yet so many "witnesses"?
Why didnt this video come out alongside the story yesterday?
Why does it look staged as fuck?
And lastly
Why is Liam still wearing that fucking jacket ffs

Okay can someone clear some things up for me from the video because im struggling. Why is a supposed cctv camera moving all over the place? CCTV cameras aren't entirely static, I think? The one in my house isn't anyway Why does this look nothing like a nightclub? The CF isn't really a nightclub, it's more like a bar / restaurant Why is it absolutely empty yet so many "witnesses"? I think they're in a corridor leading to the toilets, staff rooms etc Why didnt this video come out alongside the story yesterday? Click bait x2! Why release all in one go when you've got another 'trick' up your sleeve. Also, the SCUM was obviously hoping for a reaction from Liam / Debbie / whoever first to potentially make the whole story worse Why does it look staged as fuck? Personally, I don't think it looks staged as such but it also doesn't neccessarily look like he's 'attacking' her IMO

My heart sank when i seen it say video footage but whats in it (whilst potentially still unforgivable if it is indeed a throat grab) isnt exactly what id call an attack until i hear Debbie say otherwise. When you commit so much to a band and the members, they become part of your identity and make up part of how people see you when you idolise someone. I feel like the way i was judged for idolising Liam when the love child scandal came out is gonna be nothihg compared to this.

...Why is a supposed cctv camera moving all over the place? CCTV cameras aren't entirely static, I think? The one in my house isn't anyway In a small corridor like that it's not unusual for a CCTV security camera to be static. I think the movement occurs because it's taken from somebody pointing their hand held phone at the CCTV footage and filming it off a monitor. ...Why didnt this video come out alongside the story yesterday? To give the story an extra day in the headlines? To wait until Liam denies the story before making him look worse by coming forward with evidence? To wait until some security guard can be bribed into letting them copy the footage?

What do people think the outcome of this will be? in this day and age god knows. It all depends if Debbie releases a proper statement tomorrow directly addressing the video. Nothing that Liam says now is going to help.

I get your sentiment and all but I don't see why anyone would 'judge' you for whatever Liam did or didn't do?? It's kind of like supporting your local / favourite football team, sure every team has idiot fans who are racist, violent and pissed. Doesn't mean that you are or that you behave in the same way?! That's how I see it anyway..

Mmm. I'd be the last person to defend anyone being abusive but the video is far from conclusive without context. At first I thought she had turned away from him when he raises his hand but then she goes into toilet so its not obvious that she's reacting to what he has done.
At any rate I'd hope that she has more about her than to be complicit in justifying him abusing her.
Plus if it is innocent it would be the last time I'd set foot in a place that was selling private cctv footage to tabloids.

It may be exactly as shown which would obviously be terrible but when you watch these things on that sort of camera with the time lapse its difficult, I mean I have never known someone to grab someone else in anger without there index finger. Hopefully the facts will more full emerge, did the initial report say there were witnesses?

IF the whole thing is innocent and they were just "messing" as Debbie said, after all their hard PR work, they've really shot themselves in the foot there by acting foolish in a public place. Obviously I agree that it's out of order for the CF to leak / sell their CCTV footage to the press but come on! It's not like Liam didn't know how the tabloids work and that the SCUM especially is an 'expert' in that field and also has it in for him so it's just really stupid to act in a way that could be interpreted as him being violent towards a woman! So even if they sue for defamation and maybe even win, it was front page news yesterday and will only feed into the perception a lot of people - rightly or wrongly - have of Liam.

The stills look worse than the video. I watch the video several times and they look to be in a fight were Debbie is drunk and trying to prevent Liam from leaving. It doesn’t look like he ever grabs her but puts his hand up in her face and waves her back. He looks like he’s being a jerk but not hurting her. Definitely a PR disaster for both of them.. and just sad

I'm against all kind of violence or abuse. I've watched this video and if that situation can be treated as an abuse by Liam, then the world is going crazy.
If you read the article which the Scum published yesterday and then you see the video they have published today, you should see that the real problem is the Scum. Violence and abuse are a very serious problem in our society, and you can't trivialise about them!

No offence to you at all for starting this thread, madferitusa2025 (and I don't blame you really), but this is getting like a cheap kitchen sink drama. People still buying and reading a sh*t "paper" like The Sun and believing what they write? Jesus Christ Superstar. Wtf are you talking about when there is video of that incident. They don't have to believe anything, they just have to watch that video.

It's really obvious what happened, it's enough to watch his body language. When he pushed her at the beggining of the video is maybe even worse than when he grabbed her by the throat.
I don't understand some people, they are ready to justify this just because he is Liam Gallagher and because Sun wrote about this.

But I did see an ad for booking.com so I guess it's done its job. I don't believe either side here. It's not messing around and it's not a blazing row. Liam's pushing her away, which is hardly crime of the century, but the fact that he goes that high is disturbing. If that's not a one-off, Debbie should be walking and leaving Liam to self destruct on his own.

the best thing about the video is how they placed the black bars over her eyes, the moment liam grabs her. what do they want to hide? popping eye balls? ffs.

It all just feels weird, like something’s missing. The more I’ve watched it the less it looks like he even grabs her, just puts his hand up and she moves back to avoid it. I hope they don’t just stay quiet hope for it all to pass then go on as normal, that won’t work this time. All that’s important is that Debbie is okay, and if it’s happened before she isn’t scared to speak out.
