I think its fantastic for Chelski's TRUE fans!! I hope (if we don't lol) that they piss the league again this season!! It puts the so called big clubs in theyre place!! i remember watching Chelskis fans years ago standing on the shed end in the pissing rain and in a shite stadium! Why would anyone want to deny those fans some success?? The downside is that they join the ranks of the turn coat clubs such as LFC, MUFC and AFC!! Anybody can be a supporter of these clubs. It helps if you know shit about footie but some small knowledge is ok!! When the going gets tough you shall be required to transfer your affections to a club currently occupying the top spot in the prem!! Traitors!!!!!! You chat so much shit

Wenger says he's not after Owen, which really doesn't make sense to me. all the chase over Baptista, why isn't he still after a striker?

owen doesnt fit into arsenals style of play, reyes or van persi will eventually replace dennis bergkamp, its that kind of withdrawn striker wenger would look for, not an out and out goal scorer like owen

baros says hes up for the switch across the river And we'd take him!! Maybe not for 7 mill tho, but if a deal can be done, sound!! I'd take him over Viduka or R Keane any day!! Euro 2004 top scorer was Barros!! I don't know why Sir Dave Moyes dosn't try and get Owen on at least a year deal? All his family infrastructure is up this way and a swith to Goodison would represent a 'spiritual homecoming' for still Englands best striker!!

you would take barros over robbie keane ??!?!? keane scored more goals than baros last season and he was like third choice striker at spurs, fair enuff tho we'll keep him

Personally, i think Milan Baros is worth no more than 3 million pound.
Fair enough he was top goal scorer at Euro 2004 but he has never looked like a proper goal scorer in my eyes.
He is a nightmare to play up front with as he always has his head down when the ball is at his feet and doesn't link play up.
I bet Liverpool will be laughing all the way to the bank if they get any where near 7 million quid for him.

Agreed, asking 7 mill is fitting in with the steroetypical Liverpudlian...tryna rob ya blind! It would be a risk but if we could get him for say 3 or 4 mill, I think he's worth a gamble. Imho he was 'on fire' first half of last campaign but lost his way. if someone can put an arm round him and tell him he's great he can rediscover that early form. And lets face it, if Sir Dave Moyes can make Marcus Bent look half decent, well theres hope yet ;D

Phil Neville looks to be Goodison bound in a £3m+ deal.
and great nevs OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER could be returning sooner than expected, fergie saying he could be included in some early season games rather waiting untill Oct/November (i say it will be a good few weeks before we see him in the 1st team squad imo)

Figo snubs Liverpool!! [snigger] Imho Phill Neville, whilst not being top quality in one specific position, he is an experienced Premiership player in a variety of positions. EFC have (allegedly) missed out on a number of players and for that reason, I think the Neville deal is a good one as its in time for the CL qualies. He's a solid utility player with huge experience which is why there was more than one club making offers. And at least he does give us Premiership winning experience which is glaringly lacking in some dressing rooms!!!!

I reckon neville's a good signing. He's not as bad as he gets made out, it's just cos he looks like an inbred that he gets abuse. He'll tighten the team up a bit and can play almost anywhere. Good signing.

As for baros, i wouldn't have him, and i'd take robbie keane over him any day. I reckon Keane would suit our style better aswell.
