If you want to bitch about contemporary Oasis tracklists then DOYS is your album. The problem always comes back to Noel singing way too many songs so when you add them into a proper album the power balance tips back to Noel over the lead singer in Liam. Ideally Noel should gotten 2 songs for a 12 track album. |

It would be interesting if Liam opened the vault, with Noel we get crap like 'Untitled' and If We Shadows. I'd rather have a proper release of Knebworth or one of those Earls Court 97 gigs then alternative takes of She Is Love and Force of Nature.

Noel said in late 2005 that DBTT could have easily been a double album. I guess I can see his point. Disc 2 I Can See It Now Lord Don’t Slow Me Down The Magic Can’t Be Right She Must Be One of Us Those Swollen Band Blues The Roller Ain’t Got Muffins I Wanna Live In A Dream In My Record Machine Stop The Clocks Boy With The Blues Let It Come Down Over Me Soldier One Interesting thing to think about. I think I'd wanna rearrange the two discs and inter-mix all of the songs to have: Turn Up the Sun, Lord Don't Slow Me Down, The Roller, The Importance of Being Idle, The Meaning of Soul, Guess God Thinks I'm Abel, Part of the Queue, Keep the Dream Alive, A Bell Will Ring, Pass Me Down the Wine, Let There Be Love and I Can See it Now, Lyla, Love Like a Bomb, Mucky Fingers, Those Swollen Hand Blues, Eyeball Tickler, Record Machine, Stop the Clocks, Boy With the Blues, Let it Come Down Over Me, Soldier On I wasn't sure where to put The Magic Can't Be Right and She Must Be One of Us, but this turns out to be a pretty strong double album, anyways, with songs spaced out well enough. |
