The vid above is from the MTV performance in 2002.

I love the version of SMS they did on this tour, and even though the picture is pretty poor quality on the vid, I was wondering if anyone could help me out with the rhythm part that Noel is playing?

It's certainly in a different key, but I just can't tell. I can do the original version alright but want to try this version.

From the vid it looks like Noel has a capo on third or fourth fret? Could it also be that he's tuned his guitar down as well?

@doclobster I know you know your stuff, but please, can any other guitarists help me out as well haha?

Better quality vid here for whoever can help - it starts on the 32 min mark give or take.

I'm pretty sure he's playing it with Capo 4th, and I think there's an E shape in there as well and possibly an Fmaj7 shape, but moved up to the second fret (relative to the capo - I use this a lot as an alternative to F sharp)
