I had thought a remix by Weatherall would produce something better than this. Not looking forward to it being a b side or bonus track for future singles. It’s not gonna draw that much interest to be honest. Ho hum.

Doesn't really work on its own, but doesn't sound much like it was meant to. Pretty certain it'd sound great slotted somewhere in the middle of some house/dub influenced DJ set with a bunch of other tracks in a similar vein at 2 in the morning.
But as a standalone track in the cold sober light of day... nope.

I really like it. Prefer it to his ITHOTM mix.
Obviously he’s going for a very specific genre - minimalist acid house - so I can completely see why it wouldn’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but personally I can’t help but feel a little woozy when I hear a lovely 303 acid baseline. The ambient church melody is also gorgeous. As @isness said: in the right club, at the right time, with the right ears, this would sound immense. 🙌

Hmm the Andrew Weatherall remix doesn't sound too interesting. I prefer the darker Weatherall remix. Woke up this morning with the church melody in my head, which is not something I can say often! Need to give the new “hacienda” remix a few more listens today. |

Just a tip for those who want to listen to this guy's In The Heat Of The Moment remix: Put it in 2x speed, it's miles better than normal speed, but that's mostly because it cuts the duration of the song in half. Plus when Noel started singing it gave me some chuckles.
