I like the direction for what it may mean for future albums. Other than Fort Knox, none of the official "singles" have aged well for me. HM, STMHTF, and IABW have worn out their welcome really quickly. But songs like ILITL, B&WS, and TMWBTM show how these "explorations" can help Noel craft fresh, interesting songs. The singles feel like pure experimentation, with the expected mixed results. The latter songs show a songwriter taking what he learned from his experimentation and putting it to use.

I like the direction and like the album.
He's said several times now that he really wants to make another one with Holmes, though maybe it would be a case of re-using the material left over from WBTM? as he doesn't want it to take four years to make.
Or, as he suggested on Clint Boon earlier, it may be a case of working on two albums at the same time again.
We'll see.
For now all we know is that he's almost certainly going to be touring for the entirety of 2018.

I like the direction,it feels like the beginning of something great. But tbh,I would've enjoyed the album if it had one or two slow extra songs to equal sounds. There's a lot of up tempo and joy songs, and its not something bad,but there's only one or two slow songs. With 2 more songs, the album would feel complete and satisfying. But answering to the question, yes,I liked it.

I love the direction and the album is great but the exciting thing is I think if he continues with Holmes then it will only get better. I'd like to see a trilogy of albums each one pushing things further.
