I'm listening to MTV Unplugged and RadioX more than the album. I hope MTV releases the gig for purchase. I'd buy it.

Bit unfair to count an album released 50 years ago that really is one of the greats. Happy to hear of the other 49 though. I hope to find some one who loves and defends me half as much as you defend Líam, half as much.... Thanks. Judging by your general attitude to women, I can't see it happening. Good luck though.

It’s not like there is a huge debate going on. I think a lot of what Liam did on the record can be heard. I dont know, the army are such good copycats that they could easily replicate Liam's style and melodies. We've been talking about that for what 2 years now, so there is a debate and a grey area... I’d have hoped, by now, Liam would have talked through the album, track by track and just like he did for As You Were, be totally transparent about his input (definitely less than it’s predecessor, that’s for sure). I don’t care how much input there was, but I want him to be recognised and applauded for his writing and creativity in it’s own right.

Alright Now is near-perfect rutro-future pop.

One Of Us sounding great live. Reckon it's easy for him to sing. After now listening to both gigs a number of times - mtv and X - i have to agree One of Us is his go to song from the album...sounds rawer life obviously but that only adds to the sheer impact of it on stage i guess.

After one more listen, I give this album 1/10 because it is absolutely unlistenable. Yes, few songs are very good but if look at album as one piece of art, it's shit and meaningless.
I feel like I am listening 2000s commercial euro pop, I walk affraid that someone might hear what sound is coming out of my headphones.

There is definitely a mainstream feel on this album but you're a bit harsh. Liam is sounding great on these tracks, even though there is no great song on the record.

I just don't want to listen Be Still ever again in my life. We are still making fun of Little James after all these years and there are at least five songs worse than LJ on this album (including bonus tracks). If I were music critic and have to analyze this album, I would probably give it 5/10 or 6/10. But nobody is paying me to listen this album so I would never do it again in my life. So, my personal opinion is that it is complete shit and I give it 1/10 because it is such pain in the ass to sit down and to listen to a whole album.

At least it's not Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino IMO, but opinions are opinions

I thought I was the worst person to actually gave WMWN 6/10 and gave Once, Shockwave and The River 3/10. Looks like there are more worse people than me.

In the grand scheme of things, rating it any higher than 6/10 is a bit of a joke.

No just heard the one live recording, but he seems really in his stride singing it. It is like he cranks it up a notch basically when compared to his other new songs at both gigs.

At least it's not Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino IMO, but opinions are opinions Ofc mate, that is just my opinion and how I feel about that album now, I am not saying that I am right or wrong. Tranquility Base fits much better with who I am now, when I wear headphones while walking, TBHC fits with my walking pace and the way that I see the world around me just like DM was when I was 19. I am not blind follower of Gallagher brothers, never was and never pretended. I am huge, huge fan of DM, WTSMG and TM and few more songs from other albums. But that 94-96 period is more important to me than any era of any other band. Style, clothes, walk, attitude, voice, sound, melodies, way of life... I've never subscribed to be a massive fan of Alright Now or Holy Mountain, I am 27 and I bet 27 years old Liam and Noel would also make fun of songs like those. Call me parka monkey or whatever you want but I still like more even songs like Universal Gleam, they at least sound honest and you can feel that Liam wrote them with his heart. Half of WMWN sounds like Liam covering Lily Allen's and Robbie's songs. Gone, One Of Us, Once, Shockwave, River are good or ok, I can tolerate even WMWN and Now That I've Found You. My opinion is that I can tolerate song like Now That I've Found You if it is the worst and cheesiest song on the album but horror only begins after that song and it last until last two songs. If you make pizza and you don't that have really good cheese, it can't be perfect pizza but it still can be very good. But when we talk about WMWN, half of the ingredients are shit and then when you are eating, whole pizza is shit, it doesn't matter that other half of the ingredients are good, general taste is just shit.
