There will be an signing session at Rough Trade New York City on Sunday, 27th October at 4 pm. Would be great for a last min gig as well. He did that the last time he was in NYC for a signing at rough trade. Back in June 2017.

The worst Oasis album by far was when they desperately tried to recreate that sound from their past. Maybe it's obvious which album you're talking about but...Which one? The 4th?

Played the album to death when it first came out. Not touched it this week. Just gone back to it at my desk. Still fucking brilliant.

I just love Liam this flavour! A tune I’ve been playing a lot recently. I’m sure the album will include something similar: I was referring to the song Why Me? Why Not. when I wrote this post in early September, but obviously couldn’t say at the time. Both outstanding and love listening to them consecutively.

The "you've played the game one too many times" melody is the same melody of "It felt so wrong It felt so right" (Katy Perry)
I've kissed a girl (HEY)

The "you've played the game one too many times" melody is the same melody of "It felt so wrong It felt so right" (Katy Perry) Only "Y ou played the game" part, yes and million other songs using 1-4-5-6 melodic line. Furthermore, if you focus on " You played the" and Katy Parry's " It felt so" parts, you can easily say they both ripped off Smoke On The Water riff.

One Of Us sounding great live. Reckon it's easy for him to sing.

Be Stills bridge is lifted from Wonderwall.
Cheers.

One Of Us sounding great live. Reckon it's easy for him to sing. He sounds a bit flat in the verses but it must be fookin' hard hitting the right note from the start with no indication at all 😂

Played the album to death when it first came out. Not touched it this week. Just gone back to it at my desk. Still fucking brilliant. Basically this. I purposefully kept away from it and listened to some other stuff. Going back to it today and it still sounds pretty great to my ears. I've realised that I don't fully understand the people who think its too soft, or too poppy. Yes, there are elements of softer rock/pop to this album but you've also got beefier tracks like Shockwave, Halo, Be Still & The River, as well as a couple of moody numbers in Why Me? Why Not? & Gone. That's over half of the album made up of either rockier or moody tracks. I think the only outright pop song on the record is Now That I Found You. I wouldn't class One of Us as full-on pop. Yes, it sounds modern, but that doesn't make it pop music. Once is just a big old beautiful ballad that Liam has been doing for a long, long time. Alright Now & Meadow are retro sounding softer numbers for sure, but again, I don't think they're poppy. I think this album does a very good job and being varied and not stylistically locked in a box. If you think it's too soft or poppy, that's fine, everyone has a different definition of what that actually means. But I am 100% not getting that.

Why Me Why Not is 6/10. Nothing more, nothing less. I can name 50 albums released this year that are far superior than it, even Billie Eilish's new album is more rock'n' roll I would very much like to see that list of 50 albums released this year that are (and I quote) "far superior" than WMWM. Please, enlighten me (and probably the rest not aware of the fact) 😃

Be Still is the best song Sounds like a Radio X safe zone track. Way too safe. Good melody .. lyrics are solid ... no negative with that song.. Now That I've found you i find as boring with predictable lyrics that are pretty generic.. Liams vocals make it listenable on the chorus .. I could write that song in 5 minutes.
