I don't know, I can't help but feel that my fears of the album being rushed-sounding have happened. It's far from a bad record, don't get me wrong, but I can't see myself returning to it like I do with As You Were. It feels like the songwriters knew they had to nail that first album, and the success of it made them think "Ah, well, just some Beatles-y ballads and standard rock songs and it's a safe seller". Songs like Be Still and Meadow should be b-sides. Halo and Now That I've Found You are alright, but I won't go back to them. It's One of Us, the title track, and Gone that stand-out, with One of Us being right up there with any Gallagher single since the split:

I dig AYW, but I’ve never really cared for Paper Crown, Chinatown, I Get By, When I’m In Need, or Universal Gleam. I think this album is much deeper, varied and grandiose. I was upset when I heard the album version of Once because of the production, but it stays true to the tone of record as a whole. I’m an album person; and sonically, this albums fucking delivers the goods to my ears, man. If anyone on here hasn’t heard it on a surround sound system, you haven’t heard it properly. It’s colossal.

Maybe this was mentioned here already, a good interview with Liam (apart from the 'Oasis getting back together' questions) that was done before his birthday: www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m0008wxw

I still haven't listened to album, it's not a purchase album, it's on hold at the library, I should have it by Halloween.... Thanks. I ended up going to the library and stealing your copy on hold. I like the album so much I wanted a second copy. I think both of us are better off this way. Hope you understand. Thanks ¿Did you see the smoking hot librarian when you stole my copy of WCWN? I haven't seen her in awhile, I don't think she works there anymore, a real shame..... Thanks.

My original rating for this album was 8/10 but I think I’ll knock it down to 7-7.5/10 because songs like Be Still, Alright Now, Meadow and Halo are shit to be honest and I always skip them. The highlights on this album are really high like Once, Shockwave, One of Us, Why Me? Why Not. and Gone are amazing but overall, AS YOU WERE was by far the more superior album without a doubt in my mind. I still rate as AYW 8.5/10 after 2 years

I’ve listened to WMWN a shitload (probably 50 times). It’s stellar. Proves that Oasis wasn’t just Noel’s songs, but Liam’s interpretation, delivery and voice were imperative. And since he’s resurrected his voice, I might like it better now bc it’s deeper and less nasally when he’s on point. Out of 15 total Gallagher albums, I’d rank it 5th. Better than anything released this century, in my opinion. DM, MG, TM (I know it’s b-sides, but outrageous tunes), and BHN. Truly great, varied record with excellent production. Coming to Dublin for my first Gallagher related gig outside the States (close to 20 in all) and couldn’t be more excited. Feel like new tunes are going to fit incredibly in the set! Bring on 23 November (two day after my 37th). ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Using this: tiermaker.com/create/oasis-and-gallagher-albums-17541I would go: Biblical tier: Definitely Maybe, (What's the Story) Morning Glory, The Masterplan Elite tier: Be Here Now, Why Me? Why Not. Class tier: Dig Out Your Soul, As You Were, BE, NGHFB, Chasing Yesterday Meh tier: Don't Believe the Truth, Heathen Chemistry, Standing on the Shoulder of Giants, Different Gear Still Speeding Bad tier: Who Built the Moon?, This is the Place, Black Star Dancing

I am so happy with his recent live performances that I am not dissapointed with the album that much anymore.
One Of Us and Gone became my favourite new songs, Once is also great, Shockwave and River sounds also good live, Why Me? Why Not is ok also. They are great additions to live shows and I am ok with that. It wouldn't be fair to expect classic albums from him in 2019.
Few good songs, ok album, stronger setlist, great gigs, great voice... I am happy with that, let's move on.
It's a bit of a shame that he needs team of songwriters to write for him shits like Meadow, Be Still, Alright Now...
I would like to hear his songs, they maybe had worse structures but they were closer to my heart. I mean, even fucking Little James is better than half WMWN.
But I don't mind it anymore. He is doing good job overall.

Minus the singles, I think why me why not is my favourite off the album so far. Can anyone else see Ashcroft singing this song as well? I think he would do it justice as well with his unique voice, especially the opening lyrics I think Gone would be the best duet with Richard. Imagine him coming in on the 2nd verse?! It could be completely amazing.

Some 'interesting' opinions above... You can't, cannot put SotSoG in the 'meh' category!! Also, Meadow, Be Still and Alright Now are a trinity of awesome! Greg Kurstin is a bloody genius.

Anyone else think some of the tracks have been elevated after listening to the Unplugged / Radio X gig? I loved them already but WMWN, Gone and One of Us live has proven how strong them tracks are.

Nobody cares about reviews at this point, but here's mine:
I think it was the director of As It Was who said WMWN felt a bit like WTSMG, and I have to agree with him. Of course they're not similar in terms of sound, but they both are pop oriented and will turn some casual listeners into fans.
I think this record is a lot more varied than AYW. If Liam's albums were paintings they definitely have brought a lot more colours into the palette this time. With AYW I felt like there was 2 kind of songs, it was either a rocker or a ballad. But WMWN has broaden this spectrum. And at first it made me feel like the album wasn't really cohesive, it seemed like a collection of songs put together. But I think I get it now as a whole, this is a pop album on which the Beatles influence is more obvious than any record he has made before. It's still a bit early for me to decide which one is better, but maybe the highlights from WMWN are better than the ones from AYW and it definitely sounds richier and more interesting.
So here we go:
Shockwave: Good opener and great first single. It's hard not to compare it with Wall of glass, but I like this one better. It has a punch and even if the lyrics are more of the same I love how he delivers it. And what can I say, I love songs that ends in a high note like this one. 7,5
One of Us: The verses are great, they suit his voice perfectly. But I find the chorus a bit too high pitched for him, like he's forcing it a bit even with the vocal effects and audio editing. Other than that, good song and definitely something different. The ending is what elevates it for me. 7
Once: Love it. I won't say much about it because all as been said before. Good lyrics, strong vocals, top song. This is how you do a balad in 2019 without the cringe. 8
Now That I Found You: The first time I listened to it I thought this wasn't for me. But after the MTV performance I gave it another go and I just love it now. It's just a funny little song that always cheers me up. His voice is amazing in this one, and I love how the backing vocals and bass sound. This is the most pop any of them has sounded since Roll With It. 7,5
Halo: Fast and fun. The "yeah"s are a bit too fake, but maybe it's just me. The intro is cool, and when the drum kicks in you know the song is gonna be good. Even if the lyrics are a bit childish I think they're just pure Liam. Again the chorus is a bit too high pitched. But I really like it, this is what Beady Eye should've sounded like. 7
Why Me Why Not: I like how it starts and how the song really builds up. Also the beatle kind of guitar riff on the pre-chorus. But then the actual chorus comes in and it feels a bit disappointing. The melody of the chorus is good, but I hate the line "Stand your ground and defy anyone that tries to tell you you ain't beautiful" It just feel so forced and doesn't suit the song at all. I really wanted to enjoy this one, but that line always breaks the momentum for me. Cool outro. 6
Be Still: Worst one on the album for me. It's not bad, but this one feels like it was written for another artist and then they gave it to Liam. It's such a cliché rock n roll song. Disney Channel/Green Day vibes. 5
Alright Now: Lovely song. I know it won't be for everybody, but I love the mood it creates. Liam's voice is great here. Maybe it's a bit too long, but the outro is beautiful. 7
Meadow: Many people chose this one as the worst but I find something unique about it. It's ghostly, a bit dark but really sweet. I think the verses are much better than the chorus, but it's a personal favourite of mine. The melancholy and voice effect makes it sound like a demo they finished after Liam died or something like that, like they did with Real Love with Lennon. My only criticism is that I feel the lyrics needed a bit more work, the line "If you want to break the chains from your past life My dear, don’t you worry no more" just falls flat for me. 7
The River: Sounds amazing after two slow moody songs, just in your face. I know I'm a bit alone in this one, but I just love it. Short story: the first time I listened to it I was on the street so I was on my headphones and really focused on the song and I almost got hit by a car. It was really really close. And I thought "I could've died for this shit song, what a ridiculous death" But on a second listen I enjoyed and it has grown ever since. Nothing wrong about this one, and the "Lick your lips like a prize-fighter" is the best moment on the album for me. 8
Gone: This one just blew me away. Love everything about it. It's a mix of DYKWIM + TMWBTM + Peaky Blinders with top vocals, cool lyrics and a spoken part. Just amazing. If they hadn't broke up I think this could've been on a follow up for DOYS, it just takes over where Oasis left it. 9,5
Invisible Sun: I enjoy this one very much but I think it suffers from being placed after The River and Gone, the mood and heavy vibe is similar but it feels a bit weaker compared to them. But when listened outside of the album context sounds much better. The pre-chorus reminds me of Smashing Pumpkins, I didn't expect that! 7,5
Misunderstood: Best of the bonus songs. Could've been on the album instead of Meadow. The melody is beautiful and really sticks, the slide guitar takes it to another level. It sounds a bit like the kind of b-sides Noel wrote for SOTSOG. And then a simple and yet amazing ending. 8
Glimmer: Simple, catchy and fun, I enjoy it for what it is, but I'm glad it's a bonus song. Remember I said Be Still sounded like it was written for someone else and then they gave it to Liam? I feel the same about this one, but it just works better. 6
Right now the album is a 7,5 for me, but it could grow to an 8 in the next few months. At the moment I skip the first singles when listening to the album in full, so it's hard for me to see the complete picture.

On looking back I probably was a bit harsh on it considering it is definitely my favourite between HC and DBTT. All three just have so many weak spots for me even if the high points on HC and SOTSOG are better than some of the albums I put above it. The fact it is a ten song album with an instrumental (albeit a very good one) just brought it down for me, added to the fact that Go Let it Out and Gas Panic! are the only ones I regularly go back to, the rest of the album is well produced and fit together as an album well but the individual songs just aren't there for me - in saying that I probably should have but it above DBTT and HC.

I've listened to WM?WN. about 10 times. I gave most of the songs 8/10 or 9/10 because of lyrics. BUT I don't wanna listen to it anymore. From 1st listen I don't really like Liam's voice and overproducing of songs.
I can't understand why people are amazed by Liam's voice in album and live. It's not awful but it's nowhere near AYW voice! Absolutely similar to DGSS times but less nasally. Liam made this voice... really hard to explain... bold? He sounds very strange. Comparing to AYW it's worse. It's kinda shot tbh. So much autotune definitely. Except Once it's so bad. He's sounding not like traditional Liam. You can tell me 'his voice is not like 90's anymore', 'he's sounding best right now' and so on but for me he sounds veeeery far from best. Two years ago he sounded gorgeous, I could hear prime Liam. Now it isn't
Overproducing of songs... I can't fookin' hear anything except vocals and lead guitar! Maybe they wanted to make 'wall of sound', maybe they wanted to make radio type of melody but it sucks. It also had an influence to Liam's voice on album. Again, listening back to AYW - it was fantastic! Clean as Heaven (except WoG, CBTM and IDHTBTW which are special for that radio sound, but even WoG had better production)! And they did that sound in 2019 album to ALL songs except maybe Once and Misunderstood. For example, if Allright Now sounded like Paper Crown, it could be better song than 6/10. It works only in Be Still. Also these synths... brrr. Lennon-escue songs are the worst on album
Overall it's an okay album. My favourites are Once, Gone, Invisible Sun (very Oasis and Stone Roses tune at the same time) and Misunderstood. But this sound...
