For me Halo is pure David Brent. I hate it lol I feel like invisible sun or Glimmer would have been a better fit.

I really love BE (the album) so Why Me Why Not (title track) is one of my personal favorites. Sounds like an outtake from it.

WMWN - the chorus is a complete rip off of a Green Day song. Can't remember the name but I'll find it (Awaits the Green Day are shit and nothing compared to Liam etc comments) I love green day lol The intro drums are Gold Lion by The Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Liam, why is Invisible Sun a bonus track, FFS?! Probably for the same reason Doesn't Have To Be That Way didn't make AYW, whatever reason that is. Both should have been on the albums though. Probably because it's too much like Ian Brown and he won't get as much criticism if it's just a bonus track.

Are they really "bonus tracks" if every single tweet, instagram, and facebook post from everyone has the Deluxe version?? I mean, we might as well accept this is a 14 song album and Glimmer is the closer. Who's actually buying the standard length...looks like no one.

Plus there's no standard edition playlist on Spotify, only deluxe. If you don't buy music and was listening on Spotify you wouldn't know what the bonus tracks are.

What's wrong with me? I found the album super boring. If yanybody reads through my post history I come as a parka monkey (loving beady eye, enjoying not noel oasis songs and latter day oasis etc.) but I get you. I listened to it twice and somehow it floats by, bar maybe two or three tracks. As you were felt more interesting. I thjnk I dom't like the general sound of the record and never did a gallagher record sound that beatles. And I think it is too much for me. Never got the oasis beatles sound co pariains but here it is too obvious.

Albeit most of those people are still listening on Spotify most of the time. Im a bit old fashioned but I’d much rather the bonus tracks were drip fed as B-sides to singles. Take WBTM for example, loads of more casual fans would say “Dead in the Water” was the best track on the album. But it’s not actually part of the album, it’s not in any way in keeping with what that album is trying to achieve. Annoys me!

You want a 47 year old man to recapture the spirit of Definitely Maybe? Yeah right, that would be faker than you consider him to be already. Haven't said anything about any "spirit"? Sounds like some people on here are a bit defensive. With some deterministic view of "what is, is all that has to be" and all other things would be wrong because of the reason that it has to be like it is. But I guess that's part of being a fan for some. So okey. Neil Young released Ragged Glory when he was 45 by the way. Had some garage rock sounding songs on there. Haven't heard anyone ever call that album "fake".... hmm.... weird... Shockwave is awful. Sounds 100% manufactured and fake. How can you not hear that?

Don't understand why he goes so "soft" and poppy while talking about him being so rock n roll. Give me some more of that Shockwave-vibe but even grittier and more attitude and garage rock. With Noel filling up the space of "harmless rock/pop for the middle aged couple while them making supper" there is a void to be filled with a rawer, more Definitely Maybe sound. This sounds very record company-made. A bit lame and strive to be nice and radio friendly. He's 46. He's a multi-millionaire and his career/family life is in a great place. What's he not to be happy about? Shockwave is the most manufactured, 'pop' song on the ablum because it's completely fake. The highlights - NTIFY, Halo etc - are the ones that reflect where Liam's at right now. And Liam's in a great place. You want anger and aggression? Go and listen to grime, or that Slowthai fella or Idles (which for me is just a load of shouting but each to their own). Liam's got fuck all to say, let's be honest. So I'd rather see him push his boundaries a bit and do uplifting songs (and the songs off DM were uplifting and had the aggression/passion of youth at the same time which is what made them incredible and stand the test of time), than pretending to be fucking angry about something (usually a break up which happened 10 years ago). ”Shockwave is the most manufactured, 'pop' song on the ablum because it's completely fake.” This is so true. It’s sounds so fake that it’s cringeworthy.

What's wrong with me? I found the album super boring. Have you listened to it at least a few times? I didn’t like it very much the first time, but many songs are growers. I now love many of the songs.

I’m having my second listen to the entire album as I type. So far I like Gone, Why Me? Why Not., Now That I’ve Found You and I really love One Of Us. You don’t like Once? I don’t like the studio version very much, maybe it’s the same for you? In my opinion, the first clip of Once from the documentary credits sounded much better than the final studio version. Also, I don’t really like his vocals during the first verse and chorus.

Shockwave
2. Invisible Sun 3. Greedy Soul (live at Air Studios) 4. As You Were song Demo/Oasis live version 1. The River2. Eh La 3. As You Were song Demo/Oasis live version 1. Once2. Misunderstood 3. For What It's Worth (live at Air Studios) 1. One of Us2. Glimmer 3. Once (Demo) 4. As You Were song demo/Oasis live version I reckon they could sell quite a few more copies, I also have always thought a way to combat falling copy sales is to have singles come with limited edition merch as part of the single.

Forgettable album. He just can't get the hooks going like Noel does. Even with his professional songwriters. Will listen once more, after I've listened to the Casablanca film score. I think you need to listen to it a few times before you make your mind up. I didn’t like it that much the first time, but many songs are growers.

I think it's always hard to judge an album when you know so much songs before. I think it will be much more interesting listen if you don't know any song. By the way, the songs we know are the top ones.

Just played Gone/Invisible Sun combo on full gas. 7m20s of almost untouchable perfection.
Whoever laughably suggested this is “Christian Rock” then call me The Virgin Mary and take me to fuckin’ church.
