The only song I haven't heard yet.
I was hoping for a proper recorded version. Is it as good as the soundcheck version that leaked years ago? Is it the same or is it a studio acoustic take or what?

Or is it more cleanly recorded like Dead In The Water?

Guess Noel didn't know what to do with it, better keep it simple, good move there.

I wish he had done something similar with Revolution Song tbh. I dont see what we gained from a generic final product that actually taken away from the original. Likewise with Record Machine really. Or maybe it just shows you that when you've listened to something for so long, you expect it a certain way and its never gonna live up. I remember Andy Bell saying similar things because he had a demo of Live Forever and didnt initially like the studio version's drum start.

The CY version of Revolution Song sounded like a poor man's cover of the SOTSOG version. Ironic because its actually Noel's own song! Its best version was the one we heard in February/March 2000 when the demos leaked.

Coincidentally i seen Alice Cooper live last week and walked past everyone waiting for him to come out the back of the arena and shouted I'm not worthy at them and they all went crazy and shouted expletives.

I was and it took an eternity to download at the 28.8 rate of the times! I also always loved the "Where Did It All Go Wrong" MP3 from the initial leak of 2000. The rip was kinda messed up and bled over itself or something else creating a cool double track effect. I think I have it on an old laptop somewhere. Fun Alice Cooper note. When I was in college in Arizona I once ate at a food court in a Scottsdale mall. The table next to me was Alice Cooper eating a burrito. Thats rock n roll mister!

Agreed - back when I used to post more. Napster and that forum helped get me further into Oasis (Well, that's obviously true for many...)
Weird that it's so nostalgic now.
Anyway, love to hear these acoustic numbers remain acoustic. "God Help Us All" is a good song - looking forward to hearing how it sounds. Not so eager to hear the leaks any longer for some reason... I'll get to them soon enough - reading all the posts is almost enough satisfaction before the album arrives.

My ultra lite was 16 kbps tops. Then if somebody called the house it drop to zero. Lol. I remember I got the sotsog demos out of order. Wdiagw was first, FITB last. What was the German site again? Oasisde?

Oasisde? Man the internet between 1997-2000 was the wild frontier west. Like 1820s Montana. I can’t believe people were even able to leak stuff online back then. Must have taken forever to rip the CD, upload the songs (most likely individually) and post it on extremely primitive forums and fan pages. I recall each song had to be downloaded separately, averaging 15-17 min a download. The more you did at the same time the slower they’d go. It took hours man. I can’t believe my PC from 1995 even had a hard drive big enough to old all those files.
