I've always liked it. It's nothing great but it's part of the only post-90s Oasis I can happily listen to front to back. I'd take it over 90% of what Beady Eye released.

Nah, just poor. It's a boring track which embodies the whole album in the way it's trying to be grander than what it actually is. It's AWFUL

I don't mind the song. Not that I hate but neither I love it. The lyrics are alright, maybe too much pretentious but not dreadful. The riff is alright and the drums are great, but in general terms, the drums are brilliant in the entire record tbh. The melody is fine,Liam sounds alright. Is just a meh tune, but I prefer it a thousand times more than Aint Got Nothing. Now THATS rubbish

Lol Stylistically Beady Eye really isn't my cup of tea whereas Dig Out Your Soul very much is. That's all. You said yourself that you think the instrumental is "Great" which I'm pretty sure is like 75% of the song so I fail to see your issue but then again this is the opinion of someone who's trying to remember back half a decade. Real informed I'm sure.

But yeah theres actually very little melody to the whole song. If i just shouted sheeeeeeeeeeit over Stawberry Fields instrumental them im sure as good as that instrumental is, itd still be a poor song.

I'm still struggling to lend any weight to anything you're saying. You haven't listened to the song in half a decade. What does it matter if there's little melody? Maybe that's pretty alien to Oasis and some Oasis fans but great songs still exist without any discernable vocal melody. "Shouting shit" is an exaggeration beyond comparison. I'm not even going to bother explaining why I disagree because vocal lines are clearly extremely important to you.

As shite as TNOR is, the embarrassing thing is it looks like A Day In The Life up against some of the Beady Eye tracks, *looks forlornly into the distance, shaking my head* What an awful, awful band.

Awful song, just dreadful. This and Ain't Got Nothing destroy DOYS, which has a selection a of beautiful songs otherwise. At least To be where there's life sounds decent live. But this.... I always skip like 2 secs before it kicks in. I find it especially annoying, because if you could just swap this and ain't got nothing with Record Machine and Stop The Clocks then it would be a consistently fine album. In fact just these two changes would make it Oasis 3Rd best for me, along with Be Here Now. Hung in a Bad Place and Put Your Money don't sound half as bad as this song.
