I've met Noel in 2011 and Liam in 2014. Noel was smaller than Liam. I think Noel is about 1,7 m.
Noel is about same height as Johnny (Marr) and Ian Brown.
I'm not tall myself, so it's all fine with me.

I've met him and Liam and as a guess i'd say Noel is 5'6/5'7, no taller than 5'7". Liam is about 5'9", maybe 5'10" at a push but don't think so. I'm about 6'2" and Noel seemed tiny next to me.
Speaking off small musicians, i used to live right near Kelly Jones for a bit and often see him. He is tiny, probably 5'5".

I'm 5'4,5" and saw him at a venue where the stage is pretty close to the barrier. I was front row. I'd think he was about 5'6". It really surprised me how tiny he is. It's also only recently that I noticed Liam isn't as tall as he seems either. Liam looked taller when he was younger due to him being so slim and how he held himself I think. Once he filled out from around 02 onwards, think it's clear he's not that tall - just probably average height. I was proper shocked the first time I saw Noel at just how short he is. I reckon 5'6, 5'7, tops. |

I've always thought Liam was 5'9" and Noel was 5'4".

I was very close in Vegas and I'd estimate about 5'5" or 5'6". He looked really little.

I don't agree that the term 'circus midget' is offensive, in the context of the joke I feel it sounded humorous and context is how a term should be judged. If I went up to a little person and screamed that in his or her face THAT might be taken as offensive. Putting the term into what is clearly a joke amongst like minded people is not the same thing. Not to mention that offense is taken, not given, and no one here complained. I'd also like to add that Noel himself referred to the person who holds the words up for Liam as "The Word Midget", so even one of your heroes is happy to use the term in the context of a joke. But I'm guessing it's your forum, so you can do what you want. |
