I know one thing...
Oddly this forum is not viewing this as the biggest part of Oasis fandom. At all.
Take a look at twitter.

Remember, It’s their feud, not yours. I also like turtles. Yep... but Noel often uses Oasis as a way to hurt liam... And then it hurts the fans...little parka monkeys and common pidgeons that need their love.

Serious question for some of you - does Noel's comments hurt you guys personally?

As far as I know, LG wrote - as in, fully came up with the melody, lyrics and structure of the song without any help at all, the following: - Greedy Soul - Bold - When I'm In Need - You Better Run Forgive me if I'm wrong. I'm not slamming Liam btw. I really like AYW. But ffs, Noel isn't being 'disrespectful' - or at least no more than Liam has been about him. People need to get a grip and get over the rift. He wrote by himself; Bold Greedy Soul You Better Run I Get By Universal Gleam I’ve All I Need Deluxe: All My People I Never Wanna Be Like You He had a bit of help with When I’m In Need. He had nothing to do with Chinatown or Papercrown. The rest he co-wrote. It wasn’t a dig really, I saw your comment that you like the album. And I understand what you’re saying about the rift on this forum, it does get tiresome and pathetic. But the songwriting thing annoys me a bit. So many people don’t realise how many Liam wrote on this album. I saw a comment on a Facebook article saying something along the lines of “Yeah I like the album but Liam only wrote one song”. Nearly put my head through the keyboard. He wrote the majority of it. This. It's not like the song writing credits are a secret, so there's no need to start guessing how many songs Liam wrote.

Serious question for some of you - does Noel's comments hurt you guys personally? Yes. Oasis has been a big part of my life. And Noel downgrades the experience. Probably it was my own mistake for idolatrising this two pricks and the band. But when one of them shits on half of the records, or tells me that I followed a band for years with a singer that could no longer sing, while he filled his pockets and buy big houses with our money... it hurts me somehow on a personal level. The same when he treats some of us as brutes for not liking his new Music when I have been buying all his shit since the 90s

And Noel has like 5 interviews next week, and then Liam will tweet back...I guess it is time for disconnecting from the forum for a few days, or I will end up becoming a fan of Radiohead or something

Serious question for some of you - does Noel's comments hurt you guys personally? When he implies I'm unintelligent or unsophisticated if I don't like his new direction, yeah, he can fuck right off.

But man!! He is the artist that made it possible. You can not expect the feelings of a fan from the man who wrote and recorded the songs. I don't think S.King remembers Carrie as that cool story about a brave girl with telekinessia. He probably remembers the place where he wrote it, the beers he drank the night he ended it or a row he had with his wife for spend hours writing and not cleaning up the house. In that regard, the artist is not the right person to analyze his own work or to talk about it. Leave that to others and maybe you'll understand Noel's opinions a bit more.

A lot of posts filled with hate and anger, very agressive or delusional posts too. Seriously. Go outside. Have a breath of fresh air. Go kick a football. Can't for the life of me understand why some let it get to them that much. I mean, if you think this is tough on you, you better brace yourself for real life...

I didn't want to participate in the inane discussion in this thread, but I can't let this common misconception pass by. It's smiled, guys. I prefer my version. I sing she bangs on the chorus too.

Do Noel fans not realise how fucking boring it is to constantly talk about the liam fans on here in this patronising, condescending way?
If its like you say then all of you have 40k a year jobs and quietly taking a break from getting a blow job off your P.A to put us liam fans who are slaving away in a factory or better still on the fucking dole watching tipping point, in our place.

Serious question for some of you - does Noel's comments hurt you guys personally? Doesn't hurt me but don't see anything wrong with it if others feel different, and no one comes out of these threads with anything to be proud of. Yeah you can look down on people being emotional about it if you want but implying people have mental problems, which I've seen a few people on here do, says more about you than the people your insulting. Someone having an opinion you disagree with isn't a sign of mental illness. A fact that should be self evident, but seems to escape some on here.

Noel is getting especially mean here in that he knows what will hurt Liam most, and he goes for that soft spot. Everyone knows that Liam has been honest about wanting Noel’s admiration and support as a songwriter and musician. So, Noel calls him “the singer” and a hack and whatever else because he knows the damage this will do. PS How was Liam supposed to become a better songwriter when NG the control freak never allowed him to properly contribute and progress? Twisted. How long as Noel has called Liam "the singer". Christ, it's in Lord Don't Slow Me Down from 2005 for a start, and maybe years before that. Everything that people are getting up in arms for by Noel speaking to, or referring to Liam, he's done for years. Nothing new. EDIT: God, missed that point about Noel encouraging Liam's songwriting. That's the Noel who encouraged him to finish and record Little James, and put 3 songs each on the rest of the Oasis albums and another chunk of b-sides and extra tracks.

Liam knows that he isn't a songwriter, everybody knows that and everybody accept that. So I really don't understand why Noel (and other people) keep saying that. It's like saying to a goalkeeper that he never scores. It's really stupid. Probably because Liams firing all sorts of "beige" insults out..

We can disregard the arguments about who wrote the songs, who has said what in an interview and whose album is better. There is something very few can deny... At this moment in time, the closest people can get to the Oasis live experience is a Liam gig, not a Noel one.
