We travelled from Glasgow for it so expected the crowd to be like that but it just seems a waste of time and money to come from UK to see Liam Gallagher and get so shitfaced you can’t even stand
A guy in front of me took a swing at my mate because my mate moved out his way as he was falling off someones shoulders
What I will say is all the Dutch lads and most English lads were a good laugh and up for a good night

Sound all went over our heads, in one of the venues with the best sound in Europe. Liam inaudible in between songs. Crowd was crazy, Oasis times were reliving with all the UK lads there, you could feel the buzz in the city with all the pubs blasting Oasis tunes from early afternoon on. Major surprise when for the special encore BONEHEAD popped up, that was really special. It's a miracle I managed to edit and upload this video in that state at that time, as one might notice from my sentences... Anyway this is a dummy account, I registered ages ago as, you would never guess, "nobodytoldme". But I always have problems with logging in on the many ProBoards other forums. Here's more, freshly uploaded: The crowd feat. Liam Gallagher's band in the background. The bongos to his ear, lol. You can actually just hear people talking over it, not even shouting. Really put a damper on the impact. Actually, this is the only song I filmed when I saw Oasis at the same venue back in 2009. Will reupload that video on the 10 year anniversary. Crazy that's 9 years ago while the time between Oasis and Beady Eye at the same place (https://www.youtube.com/user/strangedaysindeed9/search?query=beady+eye+hmh) was only 1 year and 10 months. "Nice one for Bonehead!" Suddenly at the very front, the setlist gives away a clue on how that happened. Including some way too audible comments by some of the EasyJet-passengers . Didn't enjoy myself like this at a rock concert in ages.

I spent half of the Stereophonics gig I went to having to stop my mate getting smacked/ruining other people's nights. It's bang out of order and there's no excuse. I was more hammered than he was and I didn't feel the need to jump into anybody. I just don't get it. I was in Kasabian gig with a few lads from Stoke and we almost got kicked out of the train (probably would've if I hadn't calmed them down) and then at the venue one of them was constantly trying to fight with people. I think he changed a few punches with someone but luckily nothing bigger. They also created a big moshpit almost alone there and annoyed some people. I didn't mind it personally but I'm sure there were many people who didn't like it at all and that might've ruined their experience a bit... There's just a time and a place. Down the front in a Kasabian or Liam gig, or a 'big' new band, I get it. And if you're standing down the front expecting different then more fool you. But in a big arena at a Stereophonics gig, calm down and enjoy it and let other people enjoy it too.

God I wish I lived in Europe. These concerts are looking and sounding amazing! If Liam ever did a show here in NZ the crowd would be close to dead for most of the time (save opening and closing songs). Gahhhh

Noel Gallagher doesn't inspire that pure joy. No, just his songs... Liam was great. Loved it. But it's glorified karaoke. Accept it for what it is and everybody has a great time. Stereophonics (who I'd seen twice before, but never at their 'own' gig (always festivals) ) were miles above anything else I've seen recently, tbf.

Its odd that you spent all that money to go and watch glorified karaoke. You really can't take any critism of your boy Noel can you.

Noel Gallagher doesn't inspire that pure joy. Ha ha. Those at the Castlefield Bowl gig would probably disagree. God like.

Gahhhh I thought the Australian gigs would be like that (dead) but honestly they look pretty similar to a lot of the clips I have seen of the European ones, in some cases even better (maybe not Amsterdam but some of the other ones). I think with NZ he hasn't been there for ages (not sure if Beady Eye came there) so the absence would mean people are really excited to see him. Gigs>Festivals all day long though, I know a big Oasis fan who saw him at Falls Festival and apparently loads were just there to see Wonderwall and shouting that at the stage the entire time.

Fucking hell, I can't even find it anymore, too blurry If you spot a young guy with dark hair and Ben Sherman check shirt (blue-red-white) that's me then. I couldn't... Anyway, I recorded this very short video during Live Forever so I'm somewhere in that area during those videos... I kinda wish I had recorded longer but I was too busy enjoying the show

Yeh, loads mate... bloody hell I said I loved it. And I'm hyped again to see him at Finsbury - it's going to be brilliant. But I'm more excited to see Noel on his new tour as he's doing something a bit different in terms of how the band seem to be playing etc etc. Liam last week was great and gave a real 'Oasis gig' vibe. But equally, Noel did the same time I saw him in 2012 - people just have short memories. I want Noel to be more exciting with his setlists. I think he plays it far too safe so when he's thrown some new things in this year it's got me excited again. The best parts of the Liam gig were Noel's songs though. End of. Glorified karaoke. It's not a criticism, I wasn't even the one who said it initially, it was a mate who isn't as big of a fan of either of them as I am but I thought it summed it up quite well. A great night out, a great singalong, but comparing it to the Phonics two days later, it was nothing (and in all honesty, I doubt Noel will match up either when I see him in May )

No, just his songs... Liam was great. Loved it. But it's glorified karaoke. Well NG asked us to sing along with DLBIA. So I guess he doesn't mind karaoke. I'm sure in the UK shows he won't have to ask, though. I'm not having a go at either one of them for covering Oasis songs. They make the setlists better by far, obviously. But you said Noel couldn't inspire that much joy, which is nonsense. The fact is that his songs are what inspire that joy in the first place, and then we've got Liam delivering them in the style they were originally done and that makes it all the better.

In the end, we all had a great time seeing Liam last week. It was 8th time for me to see him (Oasis x 4, Beady Eye x 3 and solo this time), but I can imagine for many young kids who were not even born when Definitely Maybe was released, the gig was very very special.
Anyway, I'm seeing Noel in same venue next month. It'll be my 5th time seeing him solo and I know I'll enjoy it.

Perhaps another thing is Noel now seems much more into the idea of a 'band' again.
I think with the introduction of Gem, Charlotte, Jess and Audrey, there seems - from what I have seen so far - to be much more of a group feel.
Liam is the man. He is the attraction. The band have got loads better and play well around him, but there's nothing in the way of musical style or inspiration on show. All very straight down the line, like the records. The only difference was Bonehead playing lead a bit when he came on.
No bad thing in the sense that they set out exactly what they want to achieve, but in terms of a musical experience it lacks... something. I'm not sure what.

I'm not saying Noel is the almighty. I got exactly what I expected - which was a great night out and to see one of the most iconic frontmen in recent history back on top form. I am looking forward more to Noel because I think this time around he's offering something a bit different in terms of how the show is being delivered and I want to see what that is like with the new band. But then come June I'll be gagging to be at Finsbury and blaring along to every note Liam sings.

Dunno where to post this but I was watching the video from Amsterdam and decided to play along to Cigarettes & Alcohol with guitar and it created a bit of wall of sound (which is kinda lacking from their live performances) so I tried to record it. Some mistakes here and there, mainly because I haven't learnt how the band plays it exactly so I had to pay lots of attention Those solos caused some trouble and I'd still classify myself as a beginner guitarist... Anyway, here it is: clyp.it/hhl3nwdi
