What about the other half? I agree not everything is relevant, but the things that are were included, so that's why I sent the link anyway. Very questionable. But I can’t just call somebody racist that easily. There are many other instances of politicians (not just white politicians) who say/endorse racist-like behavior and people don’t bat an eye. For example, the fact so many Democrats endorse someone like louis farrakhan is very questionable to me. But oops, I shouldn’t say that. Only the right wing politicians are evil, right? So yes, some people are hypocrits. But Trump is still a racist and it would be very hard to find any Democrat doing/saying things as racist as that. Many Democrats are questionable, so I don't mind you saying that. But they're questionable when it comes to other issues than racism. I'll be honest, I need to refresh my memory about that guy. But since I'm no big fan of Obama I would criticise him for that if I found the arguments to be justified.

The easiest argument is to say, "but what about what that person's doing." But that doesn't actually change the central action. It's just a distraction.

The fact that you followed up with a quip says a lot more about you than me. Keep going, you're doing a crack job with that shovel in this thread.

Keep going, you're doing a crack job with that shovel in this thread. Because I don’t need to justify myself to you and your holier-than-thou attitude. What is racist to you may be different to someone else. THATS why it’s hard for me to fully call someone a racist. I don’t look at things in black and white like you do

No, it shows that people will get outraged about anything then forget about it a few days later. Your false outrage does nothing, and calling Trump racist does nothing to help. If I’m not helpful, you aren’t either

I don’t look at things in black and white like you do Well, you've certainly spent a few pages of not caring to justify yourself. But eh, I'm black. I live with racism nearly everyday. And I can tell you, that guy is racist. There's no "holier-than-thou" behind it. If you want to believe otherwise, then that's your perogative, but accusing people of being "holier-than-thou' to support your argument is actually being "holier-than-thou," so there is hypocrisy everywhere.

Wonder what I'm going to be calling KKK members now, since me calling them racist doesn't help either...

Nearly everyday? I highly doubt that. Oh dear. It’s a really heavy statement to make. If I’m going to be lectured about how I need to perceive racism, I don’t want it from someone who can be offended by something on a daily basis, justified or not

you hear Trump talk for 2 minutes and you can see the man is racist, using words like "infest", "shithole countries" and "animals" to describe the immigrant situation. it doesn't take a different skin color to realize that
and careful guys, you'r talking this whole thing to a personal attack level.

"prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior." It's not a case of deciding what is, the above tells you what racism is.

Sounds very "holier-than-thou" I read this and laughed The person who gets followed by the police at night is being "holier-than-thou" when saying their experience with racism MIGHT be a bit more informative than someone who probably hasn't.

It's not a case of deciding what is, the above tells you what racism is. I wouldn't try to reason with them Tom. You might be deemed "houlier-than-thou" for defending a black person's perspective on the matters of racism. I'm sure I would never be able to judge prejudice....discrimination...antagonism...from my position. I'm sure they've experienced a lot more of it themselves. Can't wait for any Hispanics to roll into here and also get their views on racism shut down as "houlier-than-thou." Remember, people who have been profiled can't define what's happened to them. Only the people who haven't been. That's very important.
