I remember visiting US many years ago and being able to walk into a gun range show my uk driving license and being given several guns and ammo and being able to shoot unsupervised. A different world.
I could have started shooting people if the fancy took me although of course I'd have never made it out the building alive.
While it was fun at the time I'm glad my kids aren't growing up around guns.
It's no doubt true that you'll never stop it completely but it seems obvious to me that it could be significantly reduced by stricter controls. It's easy to dimiss the idea on the basis that the 10% that might be save is statistically insignificant until your are among that 10%. I guess it would seem more significant then and that's why those kids are out protesting.

Beady’s Here Now Out of interest, do you think the second amendment (or similar) would benefit the UK if it was introduced over here?

I got talking about politics yesterday with one of the therapists here. She did not believe that people should be able to think or convey their personal belief that the Holocaust did not happen. As atrocious, misguided, wrong, and offensive Holocaust deniers are, I told her, they still have the right to have that opinion. That is what makes the United States great. I continued to inform her that in the UK and the rest of Europe you don't have such freedoms - it is not uncommon in England to be prosecuted due to a politically-incorrect Twitter post. She couldn't wrap her head around why I believe people have the right to their own beliefs, no matter how twisted they may be. She encapsulates everything that is wrong with liberals and the snowflake, safe-space generation. There's a very fine line between censoring the public on certain issues and turning it into a police state reminiscent of China, Russia, and other oppressive regimes in history. I'd rather not be anywhere near that proverbial line. Are you talking about the UK or England here? Seems like you don’t seem to know the difference. Funny that, considering how you are always banging on about being British. Heed the baw.

Funny that, considering how you are always banging on about being British. Heed the baw. In France it is a crime to deny the Holocaust happened (it is revisionism after all) and you can go to prison for that and RIGHTFULLY so! It makes me SICK to my stomach to see that people can march in the US bearing Nazi insignia and other signs, t-shirts, emblems glorifying Hitler, the Nazi ideology and other nazis famous for being sick bastards. It makes me sick and angry. In France we say that one person's freedom stops when it starts infringing someone else's freedom and i think that a little bit of this wisdom should be instilled in the US version of the freedom of speech. These nazi sympathizers were not even born when all the atrocities were conducted in the name of the "great arian" race. They have no idea what they're doing, they're just ignorant dumb rednecks who have been inbreeding for the past 10 generations. I am so mad at this. more than half of Europe was DESTROYED. Families were broken. Horrible tragedies happened. There is no shortage of memoirs of survivors of the raffles, the camps, the battles. How can anyone support that in any way? And how can that not be considered a crime? My grandpa was captured by the fucking nazis and lucky to survive it (as a soldier, not in a camp). I would not exist if he hadn't been lucky enough to be freed. My family helped Jewish people hide in the country and pass messages through the german lines during the occupation. The USA pretty much saved Europe by entering the war and helped free us. The US also paid a great price. Lots and lots of people died. For what? So that nazis can march around under the presence of freedom of speech? Creating more hatred? How about all the people they target? At this rate, we will be considering the KKK just another friendly group of neighbors sharing common interests! It is so wrong to allow hatred to foster under the presence of freedom of speech. What a load of BS. As for gun control.... I am so tired to hear whining about the second amendment and right to defend oneself and how people can get the guns illegally anyway. A few cold hard facts here: - the USA is the only country with these terrible rampages in schools - the USA in the only country where any moron can get a semi automatic war weapon in any sport goods store - my kid will go to school one day and i don't want to be scared everyday about a crazy gunmen - Founding fathers certainly did not have war assault weapons in mind when they drafted the constitution - if the "people can get guns illegally anyway so why controlling gun possession" was a valid argument, then we might as well make all illegal drugs legal - also it is funny how that argument comes from people who are against 12 weeks legal abortion of medical use of marijuana... because you know these are so much worse that letting any nutcase buy an AK 47! Aaaaah a good ol' rant!

I'm not going to go as far as saying the Holocaust didn't happen, but that 6 million number is a complete fabrication, for sure.

Another one for you, the Earth is not a spinning oblate spheroid magically floating around in space either, its actually motionless, doesn't orbit the Sun and is in fact the centre of the "universe".
Flat Earth FTW.

What is your point with these posts? Because I find it hard to believe that you would actually think the earth is flat.

Most people respond with ridicule it's to be expected. I laughed when someone first mentioned it to me too. But then the more i looked into it, its not as crazy as it seems. I now do find it hard to believe i used to even think we live on a spinning ball. My education said we did, now it just seems more like indoctrination.

Get on a plane flying East, and try flying off to the edge of the world. You'll end up right where you started. So how's it flat?

It does sound absolutely insane and I don't want all this ridiculous theory to divert the fact that you think the ammount of victims of the Holocaust is a fabrication

It's at best a guess, but people get so offended if anyone even discusses this subject. The poster below me even agreed but they said it was likely more, again IMO a pure guess. All i said was the 6 millions figure (which we all learned about as truth) is a fabrication, it must be. It's too precise a number for a start, but like i say we all learned that exact figure for some reason.

But then the more i looked into it, its not as crazy as it seems. Yes, it is. No, it isn't. Explain how large bodies of water curve around the exterior of a spinning ball while remaining totally flat and level at the surface, and extra points if you can do so without using the magical word of "gravity" ?

Explain why you believe we even live on an earth. It's CLEARLY all a simulation smh
