I don't think the risk is for him, but his children. Noel is trying to make generational wealth. He wants his children and their children to have it easier than him. Liam made the same comment after the divorces, that he has lost money that should have gone to his children (others can discuss how ironic that lament is). I'm sure his kids will do fine even if his records now don't sell that much, lol. They will always be Noel's kids and things will be kind of easier for someone who has a rockstar dad. Look at Anais - surely her parents were helpful so she could become a model. Anyway, am I the only one who finds this thread a bit weird? Should we be talking about someone else's money? In my defence all my intensions were good

He´s rich enough considering Oasis are not back together and he has implied on multiple interviews that he would reform the band if he needed the money.
He also seems to be smarter than Liam managing it, probably invested some of his income on a lot of things we have no clue of.

Yeah he probably did smart investments, although he wouldn't even need that. Just with streams, records buying, radio plays, licensing songs for film / tv... etc it's gotta be a big, big sum every year. + he owns 100% of his record label i believe, although there is a deal with sony for publishing if i remember correctly. Even if his money was just rotting on a 1% a year account, still makes him 600.000 pounds a year

He didn't say he lost money on his solo tours. He said he put up the money himself. He shoulders the risk and therefore will take a greater share of the earnings than he otherwise would. He wouldn't do that if he wasn't making a lot more money that way. I imagine Wonderwall alone provides Noel with an income the vast majority of us can only dream of. There are one hit wonders who never work again. Yeah, plus he's self releasing his 3rd album now. I'm sure if self-releasing records was losing money, he would have signed to a label again by the 3rd album. There would be no shortage of labels willing to sign him, so he's obviously reaping the benefits of doing everything on his own.
