I don't think this forum realises this is one of the greatest Oasis songs of all time.
Cos it is!

Without a doubt. It has everything that is great about BHN and is also a rock solid song at the bare bones.
It's one of only around half of the BHN songs that actually stands up to the quality that was delivered on Morning Glory.

I love everything about it apart from the plane lyric.
The verses, the pre-chorus, the guitar solo etc.

And as you look into the eyes Of a bloody cold assassin Is only then you'll realize With who's life you have been messin'

unpopular opinion: i obvs love the studio version but i actually prefer the 09 versions to the ones in the bhn gigs, the key was way too high for liam even then and the melody and rage was sort of lost in the hiss, the 09 ones were proper raw and angry, liam should perform it some time with his improved vocals, itd be awesome

They piss all over most of the songs on DM too.

Even if Liam's voice was a bit ropey.

I don't think there has been 1 good live version of My Big Mouth. For me the 09 live versions were awful and had no ooph about them

I think MGM is one of the best 'hidden gems' (non singles) in the Oasis catalogue. There's a lot going on in this song besides 50 layers of loud, shredding guitars. Lyrically, vocally, emotionally, whatever. This song is one of my top 10 without a doubt.
I like Noel's versions as much as Liam's - both 96 and 09.
