Getting a great tune on a Monday is brilliant, but this just made my day Planned economies and not dissing Noel's wife - the central tenants of radical leftism... Nah, nah, this is far left. You remember what Marx said: "Workers of the world unite! You have nothing to lose but your chains. And also while you're at it don't make nonsensical remarks about Noel Gallagher's wife."

Something I've noticed is when I play this song through headphones the mix sounds ten times better, and clearer, than when playing it through speakers. The production of this is interesting to say the least. Someone said to me earlier they felt it was too chaotic and the melody and vocals were getting lost amongst the racket. I really like the song but I suppose that's a fair point, it is a stark contrast to the more stripped back vocal led production on As You Were.

I don't get the Be Here Now comparisons. You can't even hear guitars... It's the layers of loud brickwalled sound, coupled with the fact that this tune itself is very optimistic, happy, upbeat, jolly, etc. It's a brilliant combination, and something we have not had since BHN (probably down to Noel's mindset over the past 20 years). Maybe it took him 20 years to get over the unjustified backlash of BHN, plus coming down off the excessive drugs. His hangover period certainly lasted a long time.

I love how most of the haters have the oasis logo or liam as their avatars.

Ok, It's the worst Gallagher's single ever. It's good that Noel tries some experiments, but this time it sucks in my opinion. Waiting for "Beautiful World" though. You not heard Sunday Morning Call, mate?

How does one in America get the orange 12" single when HMV only ships to the UK? You don't. Or you get somebody from UK to buy it for you. I really don't get why these companies don't ship outside UK or US. They'd really expand their profits if they did. HMV would have had my money had they allowed US shipping. Fuck em.

Gets better every listen. It’s a song that’ll make people take notice even if it’s reacted too well by some.
Welcome back Noel, glad he’s finally done something different and we don’t have another IIHAG etc etc etc.

That's the sound of BHN in a nutshell - my favourite ever record, so the chances are, I was always going to love this too.

It's not even the worst Gallagher single this year... It’s better than anything off Liam’s album perhaps bar Wall Of Glass which Liam didn’t write.

You not heard Sunday Morning Call, mate? Of course I know Sunday Morning Call, it's one of the worst Oasis songs probably, but still Trolly Mountain is the first Gallagher's song I paused after the half of the song and dont have any desire to listen to it again. It's the first time like this.

I think i'd have to be in the mood for this one, but have listened to a few from As You Were at different times. Over all, based on the preview, I'd expect Noel's album to be better and last longer with me playing it.

I love how most of the haters have the oasis logo or liam as their avatars. Dont get me wrong, I hate this "Liam or Noel side". Im always looking forward to listen to the Gallaghers songs, but this time I really dont like this single. Maybe it will be a grower, but for now I dont think so

It's not even the worst Gallagher single this year... It’s better than anything off Liam’s album perhaps bar Wall Of Glass which Liam didn’t write. Actually Liam did write some bits for this song. He even came up with the riff! The only songs that were written for him are Chinatown and Paper Crown. I’d never met Greg or Andrew before. I sent Greg ‘Bold’ and ‘Greedy Soul,’ and I said, ‘Look, this is the kind of stuff I want to do, in theory.’ So I got there and we had a cup of tea and I said, ‘Can I play this song that I’ve got this kind of riff for?’ And I played it and they went, ‘Cool!’ And we built it up that way. Andrew was writing a couple of words down, and we started writing a few bits down together. And not writing them down, just putting them out there, we got a couple of verses together. Then I went in and I sang it. There were a few phrases that Andrew had, and I was going, ‘Maybe I’ll sing it like this?’ And he was going, ‘Yeah!’ It kind of just went from there. After lunch we had a go again, and that was ‘Wall of Glass.’ It was easy, man. We just sort of did it. read.tidal.com/article/liam-gallagher-returns-with-as-you-were

People are underestimating how much Liam had to do with Wall of Glass.
