Can anyone think of a Noel single that has so divided fans? No, nothing like that. But it´s obvious, for me. I like it, it´s very catchy, But it´s an average tune at best. Not shite like some people are writing on twitter but not great. Noel said: my kids love it, all my mate´s kids love it. Ok, so are you doing music for kids? Kids love uptempo songs with catchy melodies (which, in this case, has been ripped off or sampled for another song). I´m dissapointed with this one. Waiting for "It´s a beautiful word" My kids love 'banana phone' so that's not really a gold standard for good music. The singles ok. |

My first thoughts are I quite like it...BUT the breakdown bit doesn't breakdown enough and the "Get out of the doledrums baby" bit is similar to "Get out of the darkness baby, you'll catch your death in the fog" from Dave Bowie's "Diamond Dogs"

It would be good if you could download the single, like it says you can on the NG twitter. When I click their 'download' link it just says "The item you've requested is not available" you can but only mp3 not flac The mp3 would do! Where did you manage to download that from? My UK iTunes just keeps saying it isn't available |

Can anyone think of a Noel single that has so divided fans? But is it surprising? My music tastes and opinions are the opposite of most of the people on this forum. Taste and preferences change. I know mine have. I like different things. I embrace all genres of music now, and looking back, Noel's obstinance to and dismissal of different music genres was ignorant and cringe-inducing. To see him expand his music palate is refreshing. |

I've listened to it about 8 times this morning which is probably a good sign.
A total departure from the last two albums which is a huge positive imo.
