Is it me or does he sometimes sound like a completely different person these days?

Not sure in which way you mean, but i have noticed he has developed a very American twang in his vocals over the last few years.

Maybe he feels his voice isn't 'interesting' enough so decides to sing the songs in a different style, or perhaps he's found it harder doing every song of every gig so has had to alter things a bit.

The more you sing, the more your voice evolves. He's probably sung 20 times more in the last 5 years that he did over the previous 45 years of his life.

I have noticed that his voice is becaming weaker since last tour.Weird because He seems to take care.Maybe is because he is getting old.

Sounds fine to me. He's singer softer, but that's just his current approach to singing.
I would love to see the return to his 2000 era where he would belt the tunes out. Sadly I don't see him ever returning to that.....I must have watched this 10 times over the last week, fucking amazing, Noel:

I'm glad I'm not the only one noticing this.... especially champagne supernova. His accent on the songs is driving me nuts! The way he says "somedeeeee". I've always loved his voice but recently I'm having a hard time with it.

I've always loved his voice but recently I'm having a hard time with it. Watch around 6:16 when he says "Wednesday". That's just his accent. Maybe it's easier for a non-native speaker like me to recognise the subtleties of different accents, but this notion of Noel singing with an American accent is just ridiculous.

The post above was complaining about his pronunciation of the word "someday" and I posted the video to show that's his accent.

I noticed a lisp during Champagne Supernova but other than that I never notice an american accent when singing as some people are mentioning.
Can anyone direct me to a british singing accent vs the american one?

Newsflash.... 50 year old man who has made a living playing music and singing is starting to have some vocal changes take place. Also, water is wet and covers 70% of the earth.

You can notice his lisp in The Masterplan and Acquiesce studio recordings too. "Sleeping in our shoul"
It's definitely got stronger in the past couple of years, though.

The truth is, Noel being the egomaniacal b'stard he is, was getting jealous of Liam getting all the voice discussion threads, so in a shockingly cold-hearted and calculated move, has deliberately started to lisp a bit to get a voice thread of his own.
