Fuck it. I'm in on this rating bullshit.
5/5 has to be the unanimous vote.
It's the perfect song. Melody, lyrics, vocals.
Liam's strongest vocals, up there with Slide Away.
Love the guitar interlude.
By the by, for the longest time I thought it was "I don't care you're out of tune", lol
How the hell is this one a b-side?
But yes, definitive 5/5.

I'd give it a solid 3/5. Justifiably a Bside when you look at what songs were available from that era. In saying that, It is one of my friend's favourite ever Oasis song.

Put it this way - hearing Liam say it's gonna be in the set for his tour made me a happy man. It's got possibly the best lyrics in any Oasis song. And I'd argue best vocals too.

One of Noel's best.
Great sentiment.
Great lyrics.
Fantastic vocal by Liam.
Awesome drumming by Whitey.
Rest of the band sound great.
Just brilliant.

5/5 one of their best songs. The songwriting is actually credited jointly to Noel and Chris Griffiths (think this was mentioned in Supersonic but I noticed it on the CD sleeve at the time Roll With It came out).
Anyone know who Chris Griffiths is?

Anyone know who Chris Griffiths is? Songwriter of the band "The Real People". A band that helped and inspired Oasis in their early days.

3/5. Good tune but it never really did it for me as it apparently does for most fans. Kinda the same here but Liam's vocals bump it to 4/5 for me. I think I like the live version better also.

To the people rating Rockin Chair 3/5, how on earth did you people stick with Oasis through the Heathen Chemistry era?!
Amazing tune, not quite up there with Noels best but still a solid 5/5, easily.

"I'm older than I wish to be, this town holds no more for me" one of my favorite Oasis lines ever. Killer vocals, great outro. 5/5

Beautiful right up there with Stay Young. Massively underrated. Could play on repeat forever and not get bored.

One of their greatest and one of my favourites. The melody, sentiments and overall performance is perfection.
As an aside, that middle three sequencing of Listen Up, Rockin Chair and Half The World Away has to be the strongest ever sequence of songs I've ever heard on any album or compilation. I hate getting overly sentimental about these things, but it's an overwhelming, life-affirming experience in itself, and yet it only makes up a quarter of an album. Everything great about Oasis is summed up neatly in those three tracks. If I point someone in the direction of these songs and they still don't get it, then they can't possibly have a heart.

Yes, this 3 songs sequence is perfect. Some of Noel's best lyrics and melodies ever. Mindblowing to think those songs were only b-sides...

3/5. I'm a bit surprised by the unanimous praise for the lyrics to be honest. It's fine I guess, but nowhere near Noel's best if you ask me. And on the subject of great songs about growing older and not really liking it, I think there's a better one on The Masterplan in Fade Away.
