I really dont understand the hate for andy.. I think he added so much to oasis and made them better.
for starters he wrote some quality tunes, TUTS especially he also had a better bass tone than guigs and was a better player too i think he looks better than guigs too i dont understand why he gets criticised for standing still as thats exactly what guigs did he didnt leave the band cos of nervous exhaustion He would have probably been much more helpful in the studio than giuigs too

The most statuesque, boring, dull, lifeless participant that the band ever had. By a hell of a distance. Sounds like someone has forgotten Scott McLeod and Matt Deighton. The fact that their brief participation is forgotten should place them as obvious contenders for most lifeless performers.

I don't think Andy really added to Oasis, maybe stability but is that neccesarily a good thing in a RNR band? I also think that the banner image of Andy, Noel, Liam, & Gem on this site should be changed to an image of a 90s Oasis lineup. That image looks dead out of date to me nowadays. Agree 100% on the banner, it's fuckin terrible and yeah it should be the 90's lineup. I'd love to be able to stare deeply into bonehead's eyes every time I log in tbh

He brought lunch on a number of occasions I still think him buying those plums in Paris back in 2009 was a mistake, even if he was simply trying to promote healthy eating in the band...

People in here complaining about Andy standing perfectly still: what fucking band have you been listening to? You do realise that all the members of Oasis (except the drummer) love to stand perfectly still?
He was imo a very good bass player and brought a few good songs to the table. Noel had final say on album track listings so if anyone's to blame for the shit songs it's him. Personally I like TNOR.

Andy Bell is a talented musician, songwriter and a heck of a nice guy. Just my two cents worth.

There should be at least one nice guy in every band.

You know that people are clutching at straws when they praise Andy for adding „diversity“ to the band and call KTDA a great epic song

For the ignorant ones bashing Andy, he is an extremely talented musician, spearheaded the shoegaze movement with Ride in the early 90s and still had a good run of songs with Hurricane #1. Oasis was just a poor fit for him genre-wise. He was asked to write ladrock stadium belters where he wrote tracks like Vapour Trail and Chrome Waves. Andy's talent was wasted by the Gallaghers between 2000 and 2013 (some of BE is good imo though). The reunion of Ride and the Weather Diaries album was the most refreshing full piece of music from the post-Oasis era for me.

You’re totally on the mark
