www.spotify-strangerthings.com/don't know how this algorithm works but I got this one: Mad Max's Sk8 Sessions Early-'80s punk meets classic California surf rock for our favorite skate princess. Eleven's playlist is the best one

Binge watched Season 2 a few days ago. Loved it. It doesn't have the magic of Season 1, but still very good. I hated episode 7 at first as it broke the momentum, but it made sense in the end as they needed to show how 11 learned to channel her powers better. It would have been better though if they showed that episode earlier in the Season.

I loved it. Yeah, episode 7 was poor, but you can just skip it so I'm not really that bothered about it. As great as the series was, though, you can never recapture the pure magic of Series One for me. I want to be a writer, and I honestly don't think storytelling can get much more powerful than that - the whole point of the art is to make the audience emotionally become someone on the screen, but with Stranger Things One I felt like I'd actually lived a whole life in suburban 80's America. Thinking back to it is like thinking of a childhood holiday, which is just an incredible achievement. So it'll always be Stranger Things One and The Rest to me, but Two was still amazing television. I would be happy with Series Three being the last one, though - maybe ten episodes and out? Imagine actually living through it. Unique times.

My favorite nod in this one is Bob trying to relate to Will. He says he used to dream of this scary clown that haunted him. The clown only left him alone when he stood up and was unafraid. Turns out Bob is from Maine somewhere, maybe Derry.

I'm not a huge fan but I liked season 1 a lot, unfortunately season 2 seemed like a carbon copy of the first one... The gang meet a girl and that creates some uneasy situation between them. Again.
Will is in danger and towards mid season his mother finds a way to comunicate with him. Again.
Mike's sister has to choose between her boyfriend and the cool photographer guy. Yeah, again.
Towards the end of the season the kids find a way to explain what is happening via their role playing game. Again.
And I'm sure there are more, but I'm already late for work.
It was entertaining, the soundtrack was as good as season 1 and I liked that it had a darker tone. But there's almost no new information about the upside-down, the powers or the experiments. It feels more like a expanded christmas special or something than a brand new season.
And it pisses me that they showed that huge spider monster on episode 1 and then the villain for this season were the Demodogs.

Looks pretty cool, they've shifted the aesthetic a little. Looking forward to it.

Spoilers
Season was sorta slow and a lot of the original magic and mystique of the show is gone. Now it’s just a Netflix crossover crowd pleasers. It was ok. Nothing great. More like background noise I put on when doing stuff. Hopper is still my boy and Ethan Hawke/Uma Thurman’s daughter is a total babe.

They should never have made more than one season. S1 was magic, now it’s just another show. Sad, but those first eight episodes are always gonna be some of my favourite TV ever.

I wasn't crazy about that russian storyline but I still enjoyed the season. I get what you guys mean, though, and I agree the story ran it's course. I have no idea what they're going to do for s4 (which is already confirmed)
The best thing for me this season was Robin. I didn't know she was Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman's daughter. No wonder she's gorgeous

I'm on episode 5 I think, enjoyed it so far. On a par with season 2 at least.

stranger things has the same problem most netflix shows have: they are ok-good but they always lack of something that most hbo shows have. i dont know how to say it. theres always something missing. designed to be liked but not to impress if that makes any sense.

I just finished it. I enjoyed it, more than season 2 overall, but it still wasn’t as perfect as season 1. But it’s hard to fault them for having a perfect debut (sound familiar!)
This season was like Fast Times at Ridgemont High meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers. The first half I liked more than the second half but still enjoyed it quite a bit overall. The setting and atmosphere are always great but it’s the characters that really make it. Just like with last season, they manage to introduce and develop new characters in a way that doesn’t feel forced.
As much as I didn’t like the last episode that much, I do think they should have ended it here. Like with John Wick 3, I can’t see how they could possible take it further and make it more meaningful without turning it into self parody.

Please God, no. I had to skip forward ten seconds whenever she started talking. She’s like a little Jar-Jar Binks, with added sass. Devil child. Dustin’s a knobhead an’ all. Wanna lamp him one whenever he screams. The only character I felt anything for in this season was Steve. I like his character development from generic airhead jock to well-meaning, if slightly dim-witted lost soul; and I think the lad who plays him is one of the better actors. Robin and him had a nice rapport too, although she was a bit wise-cracking (along with everyone else on the show) for my liking.

I enjoyed season 3 a lot. About the same as season 2, maybe more so since we didn't get a random distraction quest midway through like in season 2.
Stranger Things has been a solid show so far. I hope that continues. But I also don't see it lasting much longer. Only so much can be done with the upside down plot and in this case, they re-used the villain from season 2 already.
I hope they end it by season 5 before the whole concept goes stale.
Also, Hopper lives!

The show-runners have said they already have the ending mapped out and there won't be more than two series at a maximum. Personally I'm hoping for just one more series. Wrap it up, let us enjoy S1 in peace.

It's almost similar to The Man In The High Castle in tone, but foreign and far better.
I hope we don't have to wait as long for the next season. But yes, anybody into Stranger Things must check out Dark.
