Well that was a phase the band went through. The tent was also part of the idea of creating their own personal concert experience with the audience. Sure Naomi Klein's book No Logo played into the logic at the time. They warned a lot about money and finances in the late 90s, about fake tech bubbles and such. Ended up being right. Wanna talk bout being miserable on stage. Oasis literally stood on stage in the same spots every gig for 15 years with resting bitch faces. i don't really feel the need to compare the two bands to be honest. I'm sure Radiohead are miles better but except for OK Computer, Kid A and King Of Limbs i don't really enjoy their music as much. I wasn't comparing. Just trying to figure out why one is called miserable and the other isn't.

Loved today's performance. So, how long until one of our talented audio editor L4E'ers take Liam's vocals from Don't Look Back in Anger tonight and splice it over an instrumental version of Oasis doing the song? (wishful thinking!) Liam on the verses and bridge and Noel on the chorus a la Acquiesce. How great would this sound? I'm knocking it together right now. Liam singing the versers with Noel's original 1995 vocal on the chorus.

DLBIA made me so happy. And he did it proper. I never thought he'd actually pull it off. Liam, do a studio cover of the song and release it as a bonus/bside on your album!!!

Just trying to figure out why one is called miserable and the other isn't. maybe it's just an experience, ive seen both bands loads of times and coming away from an Oasis gig i felt on top of the world, full of energy. After a Radiohead gig i wanted to day a mark coyle...cup a tea and go to bed.

It's cool Noel was at his gig. Probably reading too much into it, but maybe that's a sign of respect?

I've just realized Universal Gleam could have been a Oasis song. Would have sounded really good on SOTSOG or DOYS.

Would love to hear a studio version with Liam singing the verses and Noel the chorus. Just like Acquiesce.
How do we know that Noel watched his show?

So great to see Liam on stage again and it makes me realise how much I still love and miss Oasis.

As a fan I'm massively proud of Liam at the moment. Fella has made an effort to get his voice back into shape, he's putting major heart into it on stage at every gig and he's coming across as calmer and more likeable in interviews. I think he's winning over a lot of people if social media is anything to go by. My one negative thing is I'm not 100 percent on his band yet but hopefully they'll improve as they rack up the gigs. Overall I'm just absolutely chuffed to be an Oasis fan at the moment. Sod all that Liam vs Noel or Oasis Reunion stuff, we're getting good stuff from both Liam and Noel now and a lot more new Gallagher music than we would be getting if Oasis were still going and taking 3 year breaks between albums. This is a GREAT time to be around as an Oasis fan IMO.

Ok I know this might not be a POPULAR opinion but I kinda think Liam sounds like he always does at the start of new album cycles. At least since 2008ish. He's always strong at the start. I'm seeing and hearing no difference from Liam in 2017 and what I heard from him in June 2011. I mean that is a good thing as well. He was on fire those early summer months.
