Holy fucking shit. No exaggeration, Liam sounds as good as he did in 1998. Today seems to be completely magical. Well in, Rkid. He really doesn't sound anywhere close to then, so it is an exaggeration. He sound better than he has for a good while though. Not in the same league as this really....

I hope Noel took in radioheads monster set. That's how it's done Noel. yeah maybe Noel will disappear up his own ass like Radiohead, what a misereable bunchWhat are you basing that on? Meanwhile every member of Oasis has been through divorces, in band fighting and bashing bands left and right for the last 17 years. But call the guys who literally don't talk smack about anyone miserable.

Yeah, pretty shit state of affairs when the people at home who paid fuck all get an infinitely better experience than the people actually at the fucking gig. It sounded great through the BBC so it must be something on Glastonbury's end rather than Liam's people no as presumably the BBC feed is taken straight from the soundboard, sounds like going from there to actual fucking speakers was the problem. BBC turned his backing singer off www.youtube.com/channel/UCQIHKsIqAcQ0BBO1lU2Fm0Q

I think comments like his voice is like it was in the 90´s are always because in the heat of the moment we always get blown away and we end up having biased opinions. That said, i just can´t fathom Liam trying to sing Be Here Now during the DOYS tour or any of Beady Eye´s, he would probably destroy his vocal chords for the rest of the night after saying GET A GRIP INSIDE once.
The fact he can sing this well after going through that shit path towards the end of Oasis and most of Beady Eye(he had some good concerts there and there but never liked his voice much during that time frame) is something we should all be happy with. I just hope he can keep it, which i still doubt but looking at the dates, at least they are well spaced.

Liam's gonna kick off when he finds out half the crowd couldn't hear anything... fucking hell. I think it was why he shouted 'Turn the fucking ....... up' during Morning Glory and then they couldn't show it on BBC4. At least it sounded LOUD on the iplayer I think he said turn the smoke machine off.

That's how it's done Noel. yeah maybe Noel will disappear up his own ass like Radiohead, what a misereable bunch How did they do that? by evolving as a band instead of regressing like Noel and Oasis did? I know they're not everyones cup of tea but they blow Oasis away in pretty much every aspect of music and managed to get people still interested in their music they make 20+ later by moving forward musically. If that's disappearing up their own ass, then Noel should have done it. It's quite funny actually, Oasis were compared to The Beatles but Radiohead have far more in common with The Beatles, they don't sound anything like of course but when you look at how both evolved as a band and pushed boundaries. Most people got bored of Oasis within 3 years

I was there (and still am).
Jaw hasn't lifted off the floor from DLBIA. The only downside is I did a 180 to all around and seriously 95% there didn't have a scooby about is significance.
Mad times tho. In 24 hours I meet Noel and then seeLiam do DLBIA.and I am being paid!life eh?

They made this big statement in 2000 by touring with their own tent to avoid any commercial logo's and venues with sponsor names. I thought that was the coolest thing, but the tour after that they said fuck it, lets go for the money and throw our beliefs away. I don't really care wich venues they play but when you lecture people that money is taking over and that they are against this they should stick to it.

Just seen Liam's set back twice now and he sounded on top form..! I do wonder what Noel thinks when he see's a set like this (and he must surely have watched it..) Does he view it and wonder what the guy doing HIS guitar solos, backing vocals and licks is doing or what..?

That was their first album from 1992. They took sonic leaps immediately after that album. First with the My Iron Lung EP all the way through Kid A. I'd rather that arc of a career than see Oasis slip backwards nonstop after two brilliant albums to begin their career. I had the fucking gossip headlines all the time. it should be about the music. not the nonsense.

The tent was also part of the idea of creating their own personal concert experience with the audience. Sure Naomi Klein's book No Logo played into the logic at the time. They warned a lot about money and finances in the late 90s, about fake tech bubbles and such. Ended up being right. Wanna talk bout being miserable on stage. Oasis literally stood on stage in the same spots every gig for 15 years with resting bitch faces.

genuinely think he sang just as good if not better than the SOTSOG Tour, he nailed DYKWIM No where near as good as he was in Yokohoma in 2000. Agree with that, the Jools Holland gig too. But if you look at the tour as a whole, his performance today was most definitely better than Wembley 2000 for instance.

Maybe there were some sound problems at the beginning, but lots of people who were there are posting how good it was.

I'm sure Radiohead are miles better but except for OK Computer, Kid A and King Of Limbs i don't really enjoy their music as much.
