If the Giants win, I won't listen to any new Oasis material til the day the album's out... In other words, I concur with Let It Bleed. someone's going to have to wait till the official release patriots must be feeling pretty crappy winning everything but the game that matters the most!

I watched about half an hour of it, until I got so confused with terms like 2nd & 8, and so annoyed by the continuous fart arsing about. Why do they have to stop so often?

They stop cos they have get ready for the next play. Each team has hundreds, if not thousands of them. The Quarterback has to get all the guys lined up, and in the right formations... I'm not going to try and explain everything, but I can see how it can be annoying to watch for you. Prob would have been more exciting for someone like yourself if there would have been more big plays, and higher scoring. If you ever are bored again read this sometime: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_football

Why do they have to stop so often? you're screwed cos I've been told that you can't understand football rules if you're over 20 so anyway... 2nd&8 means that they're on their second try and they need to run 8 yards to win the play see you have 3 tries to run 10 yards and if you don't you lose the ball am I right once you get some basic rules, a football game is quite interesting with lots of suspense

I think if you spent some time getting to know the game you woudl find yourself enjoying it. I used to get a headache trying to understand the rules for soccer and rugby, but once I got the clarity I dig watching them now. Imagine if Rugby had a forward pass though...

They didn't lose on purpose. They scored to take the lead with 2 1/2 minutes left in the game, but the Giants made a great effort at the end to win. The NFL is a revenue sharing league which means all teams share in the profits, and all have the same amount of money to spend.

Opposed to the capitalism of baseball and soccer (football).
