I am not sure SD will go for it. Didn't they get burned a few years ago when they gave it up and Atlanta got Vick. Don't think they would make that mistake again- think they will sign Manning.
Although we are in need of a QB..this could get interesting.

I don't recall the Giants doing anything right in the past few years..you can figure that one out. Most of my friends think SD is gonna keep the pick. Guess we shall see.....

its draft day
we better take a dt-i'd love to see us get wilfork but i spose starks, tubbs or dockett are more realistic
wonder what the chances are of seattle tradin walt jones for a top 3 pick so we can get gallery (& sign him) and still retain our 23 pick?
.....bout as slim as shadows giants finishing with a winning record this season
;D

I didnt get a chance to watch but I did hear how it went down. I really hope he is worth a 1st and 5th for next years draft. They gave up a lot to get him. Elway did the same thing when he was drafted and then Denver got him. football and its quirks.

NEW YORK (AP) - With Eli Manning in town, Kerry Collins is ready to leave.
Collins, who took the New York Giants to the 2001 Super Bowl, said his goodbyes Monday after five years with the team. While the quarterback wasn't officially released, Collins and the Giants said that would almost surely happen in the next few days.

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - Quarterback Kerry Collins was released by the New York Giants on Wednesday, less than a week after the team traded for rookie Eli Manning. Collins, who led the Giants to the 2001 Super Bowl, guaranteed the move by refusing to renegotiate his contact. He was to earn $7 million this season and count $8.95 million against the salary cap.
The release gives Collins time to find a new team for next season.
This was inevitable...i am happy.

im not sure where collins goes from here. who needs a qb bad enough to pick him up? I heard that Baltimore could be a possibility because of the Fassel connection..I really did not think he was so good..so it should be interesting if anyone picks him up at all at his salary.
