To clear a spot on the 53-man roster, wide receiver Maurice Mann was waived. Ponder spent the past three seasons with the New York Giants and led the NFL with a 26.9-yard average on 36 kickoff returns in 2004. He also averaged 25.9 yards on 35 kickoff returns last season. Ponder caught only eight passes in 26 games with the Giants, who drafted him in the sixth round in 2003.

Steelers are still the team to beat. Until they 1) miss the playoffs, 2) are beaten in the playoffs, 3) lose in the super bowl, they are still the team to beat.

9 - 6 against Detroit ... Doesn't look too convincing mar Bills could have won that game quite easily, but JP Losman reminded us how much he sucks. I still don't know why that guy still has a job because it's quite clear he's just a stiff who has no clue what he's doing. Anyone see the dallas game? I was going for dallas, but watching bledsoe throw those picks was quite funny, especially when you consider the receivers he has. Who was he throwing too ??

there seems to be a real lack in kicking this year. I mean mike vanderjack was sucking in the pre-season, and his replacement last night was even worse. Then the jets kicker missed two field goals and an extra point, and just now the vikes holder bobbled the snap and they didn't get their extra poin. Things that should be elementry just aren't happening
