I'm definitely going with the Pats. I think the Steelers/Colts game will be very close. if steelers can keep them under 20 they will win They only scored 26 points the last time they played and that was Ben's first game back from his knee injury. I think they could hold them to under 20.

Former Badger named O-coordinator Last Update: 1/12/2006 3:57:17 PM
Anthony Maggio KFAN dot com
Brad Childress continues to waste no time in assembling his coaching staff, naming Darrell Bevell the Vikings new offensive coordinator on Thursday while also hiring Darrell Wyatt to coach the wide receivers.
Bevell’s six-year NFL tenure has all been spent with Green Bay, serving as quarterbacks coach his last three seasons. Bevell played his college ball at Wisconsin under Childress, who was the Badgers’ offensive coordinator. Bevell was a four-year starter and helped Wisconsin to a Rose Bowl championship in 1994.
“He knows the basis of this system, he knows how to teach it, he knows the coaching points, he’s seen it first hand, he knows what the pitfalls of it are, so he knows it forwards and backwards,” Childress said. “I know this, he will say it exactly the way I want it said. Which I think is important, that you speak with one voice, that there’s no margin for error. I think that’s very important as you go forward that everyone knows exactly and is saying exactly the same things.”
Bevell had only been in town a few hours when he met the assembled media at Winter Park on Thursday afternoon, and said it had not been discussed what his game-day duties would be and if he would be positioned on the sideline or in the coaches booth.
Bevell has done both in his career, and Childress said he is equally adept in either position.
Childress and Bevell have remained in touch since Bevell left Wisconsin, and Bevell will have the unique experience of having played for Childress while also coaching the same players presently under the new head coach.
“It was a little bit like playing for my dad,” Bevell said. “I played for my dad in high school and your father always seems to be a little harder on you to prove to the rest of the guys that you’re the one that should be in there and coach Childress was a lot like that.”
Bevell also has the unique experience of coaching future hall of famer Brett Favre.
In Green Bay, the Packers went 57-39 in the regular season with Bevell as part of the staff, while Favre led the NFL with 1,026 completions, ranked second with 82 touchdown passes and was fourth in the league with 11,330 yards in the three years under Bevell’s watch.
“There are a lot of things I’ve learned from (Favre), just as far as how he played the game, how he looked at the game, how he was looking at coverages, how he read some of the plays,” Bevell said. “But then there were a lot of things he would say himself, ‘make sure you don’t pass this on’ – some of his footwork, his decision making. But there was a good relationship there with him.” Bevell’s coaching career began at Westmar University in 1996 and he coached at Iowa State in 1997. Bevell then went to UCONN for two seasons before joining the Packers as an offensive assistant/quality control coach. He was promoted to offensive assistant in 2002, and to quarterbacks coach in 2003.
Wyatt comes to the Vikings from the Oklahoma Sooners, where he’s served as wide receivers coach since 2002. While in Oklahoma, Wyatt mentored three first-day draft picks in the 2005 draft, including first-rounder Mark Clayton (Baltimore). Mark Bradley (Chicago) and Brandon Jones (Tennessee), were drafted in the second and third rounds, respectively.
Wyatt coached at Oklahoma State in 2001, where he worked with eventual 49ers first-round draft pick Rashaun Woods. Wyatt began his coaching career in 1989 at Trinity Valley before moving on to Sam Houston State in 1992. Wyatt spent a season with Wyoming in 1995 and Baylor in 1996 before coaching from 1997 through 2000 at Kansas.
Wyatt played wide receiver for Kansas State from 1986 through 1988.
The Vikings are expected to make several more hires by week’s end, including UCLA’s Eric Bieniemy as running backs coach, Wisconsin offensive line coach Jim Huber and former Detroit Lions offensive line coach Pat Morris as co-offensive line coaches, and Badgers special teams coach Brian Murphy as an assistant special teams coach.
Without naming names, Childress also said there are current Vikings assistants that could be retained. That group includes defensive line coach Brian Baker, linebackers coach Pete Bercich, coverage coordinator Chuck Knox, Jr., and strength and conditioning coach Kurtis Schultz. Offensive assistant/assistant quarterbacks coach Randy Hanson, offensive quality control coach Todd Downing and Vikings’ coaches support administrator Sid Pillai also could be brought back.
“I haven’t entirely ruled them all out at all,” Childress said. “I still have a couple guys I need to speak to. I want to take my time. There’s no need to hurry unless you know exactly who it is and who you want in those positions.”
-- Quarterback Daunte Culpepper arrived in the Twin Cities on Thursday, but Childress and Bevell had yet to speak to him when Bevell was announced as the new offensive coordinator at a 1:30 p.m. press conference.

Mike Mularkey has resigned as the coach of the Bills. I wonder who will replace him.
As for this weekend.
Redskins - Sorry mar, but they are on a roll right now, and their defence has the possibility of shutting Alexander down which will leave them without many options.
Denver - Patriots won't be able to keep up in the thin air
Colts - Manning, Manning, Manning etc...
Carolina - hmmm this is a tough one because both teams have good defences. The Bears have the best one, but their offence is a bit shakey so i'll have to go with the panthers since they have a decent set of guys on offence.

i can't say the pats aren't getting the respect THIS year been away a while and haven't been back to this board in some time. and of course when i do come back it's almost 1am local time and the divisional round starts tomorrow... i think the pats CAN pull it off but my confidence isn't as high as some others in the area. they certainly are stronger and as the sports guy says, can't bet against brady/belichick in any playoff game yet. i do feel this will be their toughest game no matter what happens this postseason. my reasoning is that every team says they hurt after playing the steelers; they're that physical/tough. i think even if the colts win, even if they win big, they'll be bruised up a bit, making it more probable for the pats to pull the upset against indy IN indy. first they have to get by the broncos. but if the steelers have to come to foxboro, their luck runs out at that point, and the pats will be able to turn it into high gear after a huge win in denver & the mental edge of HOSTING the afc championship game. just my 2cents, folks. good luck to all this weekend, may the best teams win.

Regularly booed off the same field on numerous occasions earlier in his career, Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck stared down a formidable defense and proved he was as fearless as he was hairless.

Wow who would have thought that. Steelers deserved to win in the end though because they got screwed over on a couple of calls especially that one that should have been an interception.
Seahawks have to be heavy favourites now.
