Are retired from the NFL and quit the NFL the same thing?
Also, when did the NFL start their own drug testing?

calling it now: patriots lose a close one in phoenix to open the season then come home and rip off three straight against the cupcake teams. 3-1 with jimmy g. at the helm.

I get both sides of the argument and I respect the CBA agreement as it was written in 2011. However, it's pretty obvious Goodell abused his power. Yes the commissioner has the right to name the neutral arbitrator but he can't be the one he picked because it's HIS REPORT that is in dispute. That is my problem with this hangup. How can Roger Goodell be a TRUE arbitrator if he has to rule on the Tom Wells report which he ordered and endorses. Outrageous.

I miss the smite feature. so with jimmy g. qb'ing instead of #TB12 we'll beat houston by only 21 instead of 35. oh well.

Go ahead and stomp them. With that, Brady is not some innocent victim in all this. The 'FREE BRADY' rhetoric that is being throw around media today is dumb. He lost a fight that he, as a member of the CBA, knew could happen. His smug disregard for the system he agreed to work under and his overall lack of cooperation just fueled the league against him. Ultimately, it doesn't really matter. The Pats will be fine and they'll get to see if Grap is any good. The waste of resources on both sides of this is the real crime here. Million's of dollars spent to fight something stupid and irrelevant.

I just can't wait for the Patriots to do pretty well with Jimmy Garoppola at QB, and then have the argument about how the Patriots and Tom Brady is a system quarterback and team.......newsflash: the Patriots are a pretty good team, and with Tom Brady they're a great team.......you don't beat the Seatlle Seahawks of two years ago in the Super Bowl and be responsible for all your teams points by throwing four TD's and not be pretty damn good......granted, the Seahawks lost on what was a stupid play call at the end but Tom Brady certainly did his part in that win.
God bless.
