Katinká Ingabogovinana Lennon2217 Sternumman @panzerbattelion I know im a half a generation to a full generation ahead of you , but we talk of great rivalries , and this morning on MIKE and mike they were talking of the toughest place to plsy , and golic said a good team on real grass in cold weather ....because the new turf dont freeze like grass . And I flashed back to the most UNDERRATED rivalry in NFL history imo ....Minnesota la Rams ........tarkentan ,foreman , Gilliam , the purple people eater defense , against the youngblood brothers , Fred dryer , and that crew , it seemed they played in NFC title game or divin playoff every year in Minnesota and vikes would prevail, and weather was a factor ...I remember Fred dryer saying just one time they need to get them in colliseum for that game .....they did , and it rained for weeks 30 degree weather , game was a mud bowl .....vikes won , It was surreal ........ Those games were as intense as ....steelers - Raiders Steelers - Cowboys. packs - bears , you name it ....but the vikes were Midwest floating in sub zero. And Rams were not really supported , why they moved. But what a rivalry ....just popped in head I loved the late 80's early 90's Giants/Niners/Cowboys. Oh yea. But people still talk of those days , when you mention the 70 s. You think steelers raiders. Steelers Cowboys. cowbots skins. Nobody ever mentions vikes Rams. And let me tell you those were great rival games

I'm just watching Olberman on ESPN News and they're showing highlights of the Chiefs and Raiders game, when a shot of John Madden watching the game is shown.
So, I wonder how much John Madden's worth, you know, with the whole Madden EA franchise and all.
$200 million...
Boom!

Forget Peyton , To me since last year I never thought denver was a juggernaut ladt year it was soft d and spotty running game , this year im watching since wk 1 the announcers keep saying how much they improved on d. All I see is teams running up and down field on them ( running , throwing ). If manning is not on that team the hype is not there. I have no horse in BRADY / manning debate , only thing I'll say is BRADY has definatly had the better coached and all around better teams , I mean New England is just a good team , Denver to me is hyped they really don't impress. Me win or lose .... Qs im writing this 21-10 miami in Denver. What a improved defense

That's all you need to know.

That's all you need to know. Yea i DONT buy that ......im not saying eirher is better tbh. Just that denver is overated , I don't see how this stupid head to head is even a baramoter Peyton played against a bellichek defense. Bellichek is regarded as best defensive mind of this era , Colts were never a dynasty ,so that head to head means zero to me , like a pitching duel how can someone outpitch someone when there facing 2 sets of hitters? Same for the losing record. You can easily say the colts had such good regular season records because manning was do good against mediocre teams they won , so there records look a lot better than they should be THATS a fair argument .... Then when BRADY went down the pats still won 11 games ......when Peyton went down the colts dissapeared ...... Again not saying manning better but if you use that argument , then tje one i present is as plausible really ...... Either way you can't lose...... But that 11-5 year without brady does say somethi fb bout new englands teams and that bad colt year without Peyton does as well imo

See you got me thinking Lennon2217 I don't really like manning. But the colts record in regular season was so good because manning was so good against mediocre teams and a bit under 500 against the elite in playoffs because really his teams were not so elite. The record may have been but that's because Peyton led them to the wins they were supposed to win , other qbs may have blew a few of those and a 12-4 year is 10-6 and nobody notices manning in playoffs ... BRADY on the other hand. Goes down and New England wins 11 instead of 12 ....... That sorta says that manning contributed much more to colts success than Tom did ...... and if you put TOM on colts and Peyton on Patriots then that head to head may be very different, Why I hate stats ....... They play with your head , my eye says there both so good it really don't matter Either way your golden

Tom Brady never stops fighting during a game. Peyton Manning doesn't have that quality. He sits on the bench and sulks. For example, last year's Super Bowl. He looked like he was going to cry. Tom is always yelling at himself and teammates to get their acts together. He's a fucking leader.
