You are rapidly descending in to that over the top hysterical defence that starts to look a bit weird/desperate.
Oh am I? This thread topic has shifted focus from being about a Manchester benefit gig to how people think Liam is a great guy and Noel is now the devil. Not everyone is bashing Noel but a lot are in this thread. They made it Noel vs Liam. Typical shit around these parts. If they are gonna be outlandish, why shouldn't I? The different being I'm kidding around, they are not.
Noel was always going to be mentioned I suppose with him not being there. Most have expressed there views reasonably. I don't really believe you are just chuckling away at how outlandish it is, nor do I believe you would be acting the same way if it were the other way around, not that there's anything wrong with that.
I'd be defending Liam if the roles were reversed. I also don't think anyone would be making a big stink about it if it were the other way. It really isn't that big of a deal overall who played and who didn't.

Or, like Liam said, noel's true colors are finally coming out. True colors finally showing? Because he didn't perform at the Manchester gig? Gimme a break. The guy has been doing years of charity gigs and auctions. It's well documented. It's not the end of the world he wasn't there. We don't even know his side of the story. Like I said plenty of artists didn't appear at the concert of NY or for hurricane sandy. Does they make them bad or should be looked down on? Certainly not. just to sum up some of Liams recent tweets were this Noel guy might be showing his true colours. As far as I can recall: 1) Not doing any promotion or fan service nor attending Supersonics premier despite being his idea in the first place. Ourkid had to take care of us (oasis fans) alone. 2) Saying Liam cant sing anymore just when he is about to launch his solo career. 3) Refusing to take selfies with random fans in a rude way. 4) Not inviting his own mother to his 50s birthday. 5) Skiping the one love Manchester gig. I dont know if Liam is right, but he is definitly keeping the bill and taking note of everything. If it was not for all his stupid tweeter rants many of us wouldnt know many things about how noel is handling himself nowdays.

Don't understand the hate on Noel not going. He wasn't even in Manchester. Besides, would have Liam even gone if he wasn't touring? Like last year? You do know Liam was in Germany right? Of course. What I say, this gig comes in perfect time for Liam, but not for Noel. For Liam was a win win situation.

I don't really care that Noel wasn't there. Just glad Oasis were represented.

Noel not being there? bah. main problem that night was Chris Martin's playing and singing on Live Forever... awful strumming, too fast and should have let the crowd sing Noel's part, man was he shit

He was too quick on the live forever part. However i thought it all sounded superb tbh and all 3 were great in each of their parts. One of my favourite ever Live Forever performances. I have watched it back 3 or 4 times now and when Liam starts singing the last part ive teared up every time, dont mind admitting that.

I didn't invite my mother, or sister, or any of my mates for that matter to my wedding. What does that make me? Anyway, do you honestly think a pensioner would have wanted to be at a piss up like that? It would have been great if Noel had turned up and I'm sure if he'd have been in the UK yesterday then he would have. But hey, he wasn't so he didn't. Big deal. Noel is a right c unt at times, hey he even admits that himself, but people are making a mountain out a molehill here.

None of us know Noel or Liam. These are merely assumptions. I mean I KNOW Liam loves London. He preferred to stay there and miss the start of the US tour in the fall of 1996. Guy likes houses. Not nice when everyone shits on someone you back is it Is this personal for you? Like does it physically hurt you when someone shits on Liam? It does amaze me that in the Noel section, there's plenty of criticism against him, some of it well founded: whether that's setlists, poor production, the AA fiasco, among other things. Liam threads are always treated with kid gloves. Not saying that's your fault, but it amazes me that Liam can apparently never be criticized without some kind of victim card being played. Granted, some things said against Liam are outlandish or out of date, like do we really have to have another thread where people shit on his voice? But even legitimate criticism gets shelled away here. It does feel like a thread on this forum criticizing Liam where there either aren't trolls or are Liam fans willing who are willing to accept criticism, is the unicorn of this forum. Because EVERY Liam thread ends up this way.

Just something I noticed when watching the One Love video. Has Liam like permanently damaged manchester's gene pool or is drawing big fake eyebrows on yourself a new fasion thing for young girls? Literally like every time they cut to a teenage girl in the audience she seemed to have huge and totally the wrong colour eyebrows, weird. Or, like I first speculated, are they all Liam's kids?

Don't think Noel wants an Oasis reunion, not even for charity. If he'd turned up, it probably would have been weird for him to play dont look back in anger and a solo song, and not join Liam for Live forever.

I don't think this was the right time nor the right place for a reunion. Anyway, now that he didn't come that's still what a lot of people talk about.
