On the train home. Voice was stronger tonight, guessing he could hear himself. Same set minus Bonehead. Hoping all the new songs come across better on record. Morning Glory gave me shivers. He swapped lyrics on Be Here Now to Wrap Up COLD when it's WARM outside. Not sure if that's been done before or if it was intentional or a mistake. Great night, bring on the album. That's always been the lyrics

Great gig, LG on top form. Took a piss next to the singer from Foals, small fella.

I will spout forth tomorrow. At the moment I'm very sweaty and hoarse.

Paper Crown is a tune. Got chills when the audience cheered after he finished the first chorus.

I've not posted on this forum for a very, very long time, but I've been a regular visitor for years. I felt compelled to log in and tell you all how brilliant Liam was in Brixton this evening.
I watched the videos of the Ritz gig and thought he sounded rather good, but I wanted to reserve judgement until I saw him in the flesh. On the newer tracks, where the crowd were obviously quieter, those vocals were laid bare, and my God he's turned it around. It was moving to hear him sing so well again. And no, of course it's not the Liam of old; we're not getting back that voice from the mid nineties. But on evidence of tonight, he's sounding the best he has since the early performances of the Heathen Chemistry era (CDUK, TOTP), even better on some tracks. He is SINGING for Christ's sake, and that's all I ask. He even had a stab at the 'GET A GRIP INSIDE' on Be Here Now! This is a man oozing with confidence, and that's what Liam is all about - not that angry, cutting off words, miserable looking figure in the latter days of Oasis.
Before I'm accused of fanboy-ism - I accept he's not Pavarotti, but if you told me Liam would sound this good in 2017 when I watched my Familiar to Millions DVD 17 years ago, I'd have laughed in your face.
My god, I've rambled. On another note, the new stuff sounded pretty solid. Wall Of Glass in particular sounded brilliant live.

Paper Crown is a tune. Got chills when the audience cheered after he finished the first chorus. That tune should shut up all the naysayers. I said about 18 months ago Liam had 1 biblical album left in him (and maybe more)... Looks like I was right. But of course everyone thinks I'm a drunk lunatic. Whatever.

Also, the last new song he played - I'm not sure what it was called - really reminded me of Blur's Tender. It was a nice track, and Liam sung it very well, but I can see the critics jumping on that comparison in the album reviews. I said to my mate that it would actually work really well to have Noel singing Graham's "Oh my baby..." bits in the song, ha ha. Interesting tune, though, different to the others.

Paper Crown is a tune. Got chills when the audience cheered after he finished the first chorus. It was great to see that getting a good reaction. I can imagine Liam, and the record company, sizing up the reception of songs to decide on future singles - this is surely one.

Just realised they were always the lyrics, never noticed that before, my bad - Noel and his quirky lyrics. Also I think the order Greedy Soul and Wall of Sound were swapped in the set tonight.

Well. That was simple a privilege. Started at the front at the barrier and yet the sheer force of nature that was the crowd sent me spinning backwards when Liam took the stage. The trio of Fuckin' In The Bushes, Rock 'n' Roll Star and Morning Glory was simply brilliant with its power. The new tunes were excellent, but special mention has to go for Be Here Now and D'ya Know What I Mean? Utterly glorious
I believe the chances of a soundboard or release in the future may be good, as there was a TV camera type thingy present, as well as one of those notices outside pre gig saying you're giving tacit consent to be filmed during the performance for future release
It's good to have you back, R'Kid

I was there too, great gig!
Got a few videos:
D'You Know What I Mean?:
Be Here Now:
Live Forever:
Also got audio of the rest of the gig apart from Greedy Soul and the start of Bold but the audio quality isn't the best!
Will upload it if anyone wants it though.

That was fucking amazing. I thought I was born 20-odd years too late to get the chance to be in a place full of people going mental to DYKWIM and BHN, just amazing. Btw, in case you're on here, many thanks to whoever it was who found my passport and handed it in. Much appreciated

I could cry to be honest.... hahahahah this is more than I could ever wish for for LG and for us! Apart from an oasis reunion happening, which would be a bloated money massive mess.... being able to possibly see and hear these songs again the way we always remembered in a smaller venue is fucking magic.

His vocals aren't bad at all but nothing like the 90's.
He's had plenty of rest will be interesting to see how quickly he gets back to the Kermit voice

It doesn't seem like he's having nearly the same out of breath problem that he had before. The voice isn't gonna come back, but this is a huge improvement!

Loved last night. Stopped myself from seeing the Manchester setlist beforehand so all was new to me like the old days. Did more new songs than I though he would (hope he does less on the festivals just for his own sake). Where was rockin chair!?

Great to hear everyone had a great time last night! He's playing at Rock am Ring today. Whatever. You always remain as a drunk lunatic for us, especially for eva and me, a very annoying drunk attention seeking kid, but you made it by yourself. Let us see that you're not only a drunk lunatic on weekends.
