If you call your above comments as "opinion", at least show some respect towards your fellow Oasis fans. What did I say what was so disrespectful? The fact that he has stuff that hasn't been previously released and refuses to share it. That isn't disrespectful it is a fact. Even Joakim gives us a nibble every now and again. If he or anyone else wants to share Oasis stuff it's their perrogative. We know something that we didnt knew before and for that im grateful. Wouldnt it be nice if he shares more? Yeah. But I wont go to beg him or anyone else for stuff. If he were like I have all of this stuff and you wont ever hear it unless it leaks from other souce(remember STC?) I wouldnt like the guy but he's not like that.

We apologise for some nasty comments in this thread. We all are grateful and enjoy this and other podcast which are provided by Oasis Podcast. What did I say what was so disrespectful? The fact that he has stuff that hasn't been previously released and refuses to share it. That isn't disrespectful it is a fact. Even Joakim gives us a nibble every now and again. Nobody including oasisdna, joakim and all the others don't/didn't "have" to share what they have, yet many of them were gladly to share a lot of rare stuff with fellow Oasis fans. Stop being act like a kid who keeps shouting and crying out for a bag of candy you didn't get. I'm not crying, nor do I care, but if he is going to advertise he has this material and decides not to share it, I am well within my right to voice my opinion. You can respond again and continue to argue with me to liven up your life, but I am done on the subject.

So what? he hasn't ever bragged about it so it doesn't change my life at all if I never get to hear those rarities cheers oasispodcast and oasisdna, nice work and great to hear all those stories. This was posted some time back so I thought it might be nice to see, for those of you who haven't already, a picture of the demo tape oasisdna refers to in the podcast (01:08:10). https://www.instagram.com/p/x9uNLKzC1D Interesting to hear ' Need More Time' is ' Don't Go Away' as I always presumed it was ' She's Electric'. Makes total sense really.

Just listened to the podcast & really enjoyed it. Great to hear from Brian about his amazing collection, and it was fascinating to hear the clips from that unheard Columbia demo.
Trying to work out where it fits in the recording timeline at the moment. To me it sounds like an intermediate version - somewhere between the "Oasis in Boardwalk Basement" cassette mix, and the version on Live Demonstration. The rockier guitars and "yeah yeah yeah" refrain remind me much more of the album version though. Will post more on this during the week hopefully.

It's a pretty strange demo tape as the collection of songs on it doesn't neatly line up with the rough timeline i've constructed of Noel's songwriting in 1993. These points being: - ' Take Me' & ' See The Sun' (two of the bands earliest compositions) are completely absent from any of Noel's draft tracklist for the band's debut album and only show up once in Noel's 1993 notebook towards the backend of a large list of songs with an 'X' and a '?' next to them respectively. With these songs being seemingly out of the picture why do they show up here? Tracks like ' Coming on Strong' and ' Lock All the Doors' were almost certainly demoed before this demo tape and feature far more heavily in the notebook, being amongst what I considered the most favourable songs to not make a definitive draft tracklist. - Noel's notebook, a book which contains a large list of songs from 1993 has no reference to any song called ' Need More Time', ' Don't Go Away' or anything which I have ever considered to be an alternative title. - 'Shakermaker's' patchy attendance in the notebook (and earliest live performance being 14th September 1993) has always suggested to me that it was written somewhat late on compared to most of the other songs listed in the book. Now bundling it in a demo tape with the songs listed (except 'Take Me' and 'See the Sun' for the reason previously stated) isn't a surprise, we'd be talking mid-1993 (post Real People and likely King Tut's) but I do find the absence of 'Cigarettes & Alcohol', a song for which I thought I had pretty good reason for believing it being written before 'Shakermaker', surprising. It'd be very interesting to know the history behind this tape as to me it's not particularly straightforward. I'd say it's from summer 1993 and late spring at the very earliest.

As people have already said, its up to him (and others) if they choose not to share recordings. Personally I dont agree with holding onto something so the value goes up. If you're a fan then share it with other fans. If it cost you alot then ask for donations like we've done for other recordings. Not a fan of hoarders at all

I imagine generally when unreleased recordings are shared it's normally under the strict agreement that you won't make the recordings public and cause something that was once of high value to become a lot less valuable. This is the world we live in for better or worse. Obviously it kind of sucks that there is stuff out there that we can't listen to but at least Brian has given us new information. That is something.

Not a fan of hoarders at all hes pretty quiet about what he owns. its always someone else that mentions hes got this or that. hard to miss what you dont know exists... i think its more to do with keeping contacts and NDA's than it is about maintaining the value of the item.

I'm the reason oasisdna's famous around here for mentioning he'd heard the MustÃque demoes, I want some goddamn credit! But seriously, oasisdna doesn't flaunt what he has....outbid him for stuff if you really want it, it's called capitalism. Thanks.

I still think its cool when joakim appears out of the blue and unleashes previously unknown songs upon us. Makes it special.

I doubt many people like them if they are honest about it, every artist has hoarders and the hoarders all have their followers who kiss their arse in the hope they are thrown a bone at some stage.

How could you possibly get mad at people like oasisdna or joakim for their private collections. They worked hard to obtain them and spend money and trades to acquire it. Hats off to them. That is their passion. If you want to enter that arena go for it. As for me I'll enjoy what I have and if they gift us anything I'm more than thrilled. They don't need or have to do any of that. Now franklomax, he is an asshole for the bullshit stunts he pulled back in 2008.

Hoarders were being discussed so I gave my opinions on hoarders all without getting personal or dishing out abuse to anyone so I don't know why you're so touchy about it. If I've broken any forum rules I will fully apologise to the forum admin and staff but I don't think giving my general opinion on hoarders is an offence. I do think if we get into a back and forth about this it could well derail the thread which probably would be frowned upon by the site admin and staff? I'm quite happy to park it there.

Agree, this is a very intruguing tape. Whilst I wouldn't expect them all to be shared in full, it would be nice for say some 30-second clips of them to all to help us scholar-types document them somehow. Maybe another copy will come up for sale someday, they usually do in time.
