Technically Noel features on it so I assume I can post this here? I cant believe all the negativity I'm hearing around this track, so many people on here talk like its the worst song ever written by anyone so I'm curious to see how the poll goes on here. It may not be a classic but for me its one of the best new songs I've heard on the radio in 2017. I'd give it a 8/10 myself. I'm also a big fan of Kasabian's 'You're In Love With A Psycho' which also has been panned on here, so many people on here just seem to hate modern music

I agree, 8. It's grown on me a lot. I actually thought it was terrible on first listen. I really enjoyed the live version from Graham Norton. I really like the positive message there, especially in light of the album's post-Trump theme.

I've only listened to it once myself. And I thought "God, what garbage!"
Will try it again. Most people seemed to have changed their opinion on it.

I agree that it seems to get a lot more hate than it deserves, it's an average 6/10 to my ears.. The Kasabian song on the other hand is fucking shit.

There's an option missing: "WTF is that? How can Noel put his name on this piece of horseshit".

There are far worse songs...
For anyone on here who knows that Noel was a HUGE fan of remix style house music from the 80's then this type of track makes total sense for him. Frankly, it's better than a fair amount of late era Oasis and few Noel solo tunes as well.
To each their own I guess.

I don't like it at all. voted 1 because Noel's apparently on it and there's not 0 option

I give it a solid 7/10. That doesn't mean I feel it's 70% as good as my favourite piece of music, but I would say that's a fair rating within its genre. I liked it from first listen.

Also I don't know what effect he has on his guitar but I can't hear it. You can hear the guitars on the live version but you might have mistaken them for a synth or something. They're a bit low in the mix and have this kind of ambient, drony sound, with a long delay and some other stuff thrown in. Watch at 0:14 when Noel changes the chord without lifting his fingers (hence scraping the string) to get an idea of the effect.

The live version is definitely better (still don't like the song though).

So much of the problem as far as I can tell is that people are stuck in a 20 year old mindset of oasis vs blur.
I think people's opinions would be very different if this was a Noel solo tune.

If it was a Noel solo tune, then imo it'd be a 4/10 Noel solo tune instead of a 4/10 Gorillaz tune. I think it's closest in style and feel to something like You Know We Can't Go Back, which is also a song I'm not that keen on and never play except when playing Chasing Yesterday in full.

Consider how polarised the forum is about a track like BOTMI. The fact that the ratings for We Got the Power are all over the place doesn't surprise me at all. From what we've heard about Noel's third album, I'm expecting it will more uptempo and modern-sounding and cause a bit of division among fans.

Gave it a 3 because of that woman shouting all over it. Otherwise it's not that bad.

I'm not that big of a fan of BOTMI but it's a much better song than We Got The Power. We Got The Power doesn't even seem like an actual song.

17 voted 7/10?
If this was Liam's comeback single he would be destroyed. I don't even want to call it a song.

5/10
It's catchy, and that's about it. Just listen to a generic radio station and you'll hear stuff which is much, much worse than this.

4/10 - just on the wrong side of mediocre.
