Thank you Spotify "The band's influences include Queen, the Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, The Smiths, Oasis, The Libertines, The Strokes, and My Chemical Romance. The Struts have been described as "unabashedly over the top retro-fetishist classic rock" and "glamorous and dangerous" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Struts

As I'm listening to this album, it's so a modern day SLADE.
Reminds me of Glam-Rock for sure.

This is my band of this summer. Will get zero traction here. Not complex enough, not moody enough. Just basic solid fun RNR. Great to work out to, awesome to get ready for the party. Women of a certain age dig it too. Bonus If you're not looking for deep messages and just wanna get jiggy, give it a spin. The Struts - Everybody Wants.

Zero traction in Europe. Doing almost forty gigs in the US soon. Obviously trying to crack it here. Got tickets for Sept 21. Basic good time rock. Will be a top night downtown with my mates.

Glad I clicked this thread. Found another great band. She Makes Me Feel is my favorite so far.
Does anyone else hear For What It's Worth in this though?
In The verses it sounds soooo similar

Nice one for bumping this, never heard these before and spent the last day listening to everything they have done.
Fucking great band! Mary Go Round is really really good and I definitely see similarities to For What It's Worth in the verses. Lead singer is class.

Don't say I never gave anything to this forum.
Listening to the album in full - it's been awhile.

How did you bump this? Because I just listened to their album for the first time earlier today.
Kiss This is a tune!
Mary Go Rounds has FWIW vibes and there are some other good songs as well. But I didn't like all of them tbh.

Saw them a week ago. Only five songs from the first record. Really pushing the new stuff, even though it's not out yet. Still a great time with my mates though. Same venue as Stereophonics (2013) and Weller (2014). Stereophonics could have sold more. This show well sold, more like Weller. Be interesting to see what happens with this band. www.setlist.fm/setlist/the-struts/2018/saint-andrews-hall-detroit-mi-4be9e78e.html
