I wonder if Wall Of Glass will smash it's way into anyone's top 5? It looks like it wasn't penned by Liam though.

We'll find out more in upcoming interviews I'm sure, but it sounds like Greg wrote this song entirely by himself and brought it to Liam who tweaked it a bit. It's Greg's baby and Liam gave it a haircut. I wouldn't therefore call it a "song penned by LG". Bold on the other hand, which he wrote and then got help with the chorus on, I would say was penned by LG.

The other songs we don't know... Noel, for his 3 albums, is being helped by electronic musician and composer David Holmes. They are all helped in music today. Muse, Coldplay,U2,Robbie Williams...

The exact quote from the ES interview is actually: " Gallagher is upfront about the fact that he had nothing to do with these songs — the electric ‘Wall of Glass’;the Elton John-esque ‘Paper Crown’; ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’-sized ballad ‘For What it’s Worth’ — save for singing them and ‘changing a few words and melodies and phrases and stuff’. Sounds to me that Greg is very much the primary writer. To be clear, I'm not saying it is a bad thing he has got writers in. I'm actually way more excited for his album now - he's a singer, not a songwriter, so it was a good idea. I just don't think Wall Of Glass can be classed as a song "penned by Liam". You could include Don't Look Back In Anger if you go down that route...

Sounds to me that Greg is the primary writer. "Gallagher is aware that he has nothing to do with these songs," writes the magazine, does not pronounce Liam of his mouth ... So we don't know for sure... I personally perceive the "sound" of Liam in Wall of Glass.... But liam is honest and he told us he was helped to some songs. Would Noel do the same? Sorry for my English, but I'm Italian!

Ei - your English is fine, better than my Italian ;-) I agree we don't know for sure and probably never will know who did exactly what. However, from the ES quote above and given that the song we've heard so far has all the hallmarks of a Greg Kurstin catchy pop song - good structure, verses, pre-choruses and bridges - my current belief is that it was "originated" by Greg even if Liam tweaked the odd line.
