If this does turn out to be true what are peoples opinions on him? Haven't heard hardly anything from him to be honest, watched an interview with him this morning and he seems like a very intelligant lad.

Drew has fans so it will help and is better than having some no name guy imo. He was the bassist in Babyshambles and now he was touring with Pete Doherty. Along with that, he is involved in someside projects ( he has a group named "Helsinki" with two albums out, another project with Arctic Monkeys members...) So I think it´s a good sign about what Liam is putting on |

Saw him live with Pete last month, which was truly great! So if Liam's got the tunes, Drew won't be the one ruining the gig, I am quite sure.
So, to summarise: who else is confirmed as a Band member? I don't think Pete would lie about that. Why should he.

If you read Pete's tweets you see that the Tour isn't finished yet and that he has to get a new bass player for the last shows. He seems a bit sad about it, but it also seemed like he understands it and is kind of happy for him. |

Drew is a good bassist. He was also playing with Mavers for a while and was going to join The La's but of course Mavers never did anything in the end as usual. Drew has also done session bass for quite a few pop acts as well, maybe on the quiet haha. You don't really do session work or even satisfy Mavers unless you can play.
He's a good lad too. Very professional at what he does and probably the only reason Babyshambles ever got anything done at times.
He will probably contribute to backing vocals too i'd imagine. He's not a bad singer.

I could see him being the songwriter to help Liam to arrange his songs.
Classic, acoustic guitar stompers are his trademark. I don't think he would be bass player in the band, tbh.

About a year ago I interviewed Danny Goffey for StageLeft (the episode never got released for reasons I can't be arsed to explain now), but Danny invited me into Vangoffey's rehearsal and recording and that Drew guy immediately blew me away. He was organising/holding it together, was a shit hot bassist and looked the part - so much so i asked Danny's manager if he could be on StageLeft too but he didn't represent him personally.
We all went to the pub and I did an hour with Danny there and went to their gig at Camden a few days later.
Honestly, he was the only one of the group i though 'that guys actually professional'.
It's a good coup if it's true.
